I think I need to pitch this car for a photo shoot/feature.. :)
Can you email me some various pics?
Oh, since the magazine if getting BIGGER starting with the July issue the car features will most likely move from 5 pages up to 7 or more pages ..
Very nice Judge!

I just got back home. I have no top notch photos yet, but here are a few taken by the family at Autorama.

Here are some more pics. How pro-touring's name got on the photos is beyond me. These photos are down loaded in my own computer. The only one that took pictures was my wife. Amazing! I found out what is going on. My son duplicated those pics from pro-touring. They must be spy photos. Haha. Note: they were taken during set up of the display.

What the heck, one more. Thats Cass the painter. He took all the credit and received all the rewards.

Awesome!  We definitely need more pics. The lighting in Cobo Hall doesn't do your car justice.

Scott, I did not take one pic myself, not enough energy or time. Motor City Steel who painted the car took some nice pics. I will post them in a few days. All Cobo does is show glare. Those red hood scoops are metalic along with the silver stripe. The burgandy red scoops change color under the sunlight.

The car turned out great, and the paint looks fantastic, I like the maroon hood scoops.

The love handle award.
The Autorama was my first and last judging I will have done with the GTO. To me that hole process is a joke. Just not my style. I gave the trophy to Motor City Steel. I didn't even take it home.

What award did you win?

I won first place award for best go-cart. Along with 123 other stupid classes they have. The whole thing is a joke. There is many, many cars that deserve awards that go home empty handed. Take the SN65, or the Poision Dart as an example.
Why some people spend $$$$ for a $15.00 trophy and cart them from show to show is beyond me. When we were leaving the event and loading our cars, there was crew of guys who owned a hod rod, tons of chrome, blower, etc. that sat a couple of spaces behind my car.
They had complete covers for the wheels and tires. Meaning every part of the wheel and tire was covered. The engine compartment had blankets thrown over it. They never started the car. No part of the car ever touched the floor. I went over to their display and reminded them its only a car. They said nothing, they just gave me dirty looks.
