We are back to the Pro Touring world and it has been a while. We have been focused on Hot Rod Drag Week for the last 5 years while putting out a couple of casual projects. Now, our sights are focused on this 1955 Chevy we are calling Project X-BOX. It will get the full Pro Touring treatment starting with a MAX-G Chassis from Art Morrison. We designed a 5 link chassis for dual purpose. A 3 link with a Watts will be ultilized for road courses and then be able to swap out the top 3 link bar and add 2 upper bars for a 4 link set up. This set up will only be ultilized if we want to try to the drag strip. The front set up is C-6 Corvette and Speedway Engineering sway bars. Ridetech coil overs will be on all four corners along with 14 inch Wilwood's. We went with Currie Enterprises for a fabricated rear end. Billet specialties wheels are wrapped with Michelin 345/30/20 rears and 275/30/20 fronts. The powerplant will be a ProCharged LSX motor built along with Summit Racing and KMP Performance and Machine. The engine will have Callies crank/rods and Diamond Racing pistons. The heads are Brodix LS heads flowing over 415 CFM out of the box. We went with Holley for all the EFI fuel management and intake manifold. With space issues, we called Dallas Performance to utilize their brackets for a Z06 Corvette ProCharger set up. It moved the unit on the passenger side and has produced 1,200 RWHP. Bowler Performance will be putting the power to the pavement with a competition paddle shifted 6 speed / GearVendors automatic. It will be built to manual shift only and competition shift timing. The body will have many mods done by Larry Zimmerman Automotive. The roof was wedged cut to give a lean forward look, vents in the hood and rear quarters, pinched bumpers, air splitter, wing, etc. The interior will have a cage along with a Momo steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, Scat Sport Seats, and JL audio. Stay tune for more updates and should debut over the winter.

Here are some pics when the roof got the surgery done to it. We wanted to get a wedge design with the front A pillar chopped and then the B pillar leaned forward. Also attached is another great drawing from Brian from PK Studios. He has played a critical role in the build with his awesome drawings.

214Chevelle; do you have any updates on the '68 C10? I've been following it on 67-72 trucks.

Naw, it's on hold right now. I'mma finish the Chevelle first. My Chevelle is my first love. I really should have been thru with the Chevelle, but I neglected it by piddling with the truck. Had to stop burning the candle at both ends and concentrate on one project. So, of course I chose the Chevelle.
