We're signed up with the 66 Chevelle and the wagon. Can't wait, it is one of the best events of the year!

It's going to be a rough summer for me as far as car events are concerned. I'm going to be on the road quite a bit for work............I'm going to try to see if I can bring Dad to Motorstate this year. If I make, I'll still be rocking the oh so boring, not Pro-touring, but reliable and fun -- -C5 Vette.

I think this is going to be our first "real" event with the chevelle. Going to register this week.
A few questions:
1. I'm coming up with a RV and trailer. Can we camp at Gingerman Fri & Sat or is there somewhere nearby we can go instead of getting a hotel room?
2. If I'm not interested in competing for ASCS points or OUSCI (since I am a newbie and don't stand a chance anyway), I'd really like to give my buddy a turn at the wheel, as he has played a MAJOR role in getting the car put together. Can we switch off driving between sessions and just drive under the "exhibition" category? I'm really just interested in getting experience and having fun learning from others at an event like this. Feasible under the rules or absolutely prohibited? Other then GG events, are there other events that allow multiple drivers for one car?
Thanks in advance for the "education".

You might look on Gingermans calendar and see if you can also sign up for a trackday the day before Motorstate. There are not alot of actual laps during Motorstate. Great event but not alot of track laps.

I'll be there in my 77 Trans Am that I'm driving from Indy. We had to stay 30 min away just to get two rooms. Everything seems to be booked solid.

Guys anyone have an extra room at Safari Joes? We just worked out that I'm coming with Red Devil and a new car :_paranoid . We have rooms in South Haven but that's no fun.
Thanks

I went as a spectator to Gingerman and a participant at the autox, it was a blast. Lots of carnage at Gingerman though...many a car & truck on the trailers before the end of the day. Rods, rear crank seals, water pumps, rear brakes, ball joints breaking...pretty intense.
Very good turnout I thought. Danny Popp dominated road course and autox. Some very nice rides out there.
My first autox in my '02 Camaro SS, definately not my last! Got six clean runs in, improving every time. I'm still grining :D

I saw that the usual suspects of Finch, DSE, on Popp did well, anyone have results.
