Yet Another homage page to Kris Horton... :hail: Had to share my vision of the completed project (through Kris!)...

I haven't done a whole lot since the holidays... Just got the intake and accelerator linkage bolted on. Next steps are finishing off the engine harness and steering linkage.

Thanks Jody, I'm thinking about it. Not sure which view I'd like to posterize. One big in the middle and the others smaller around it would be cool.

Looks great Tom, can't wait until mine's done.

What did you end up using for the linkage?

I asked a guy who already had his installed and he pointed me to a throttle cable I picked up at a local parts store. I sure had to trim it - only needed 8 inches or so. I think it will work ok - might need to trim the cable some more though.

Wheels are perfect. Will they have that matte finish?

Purdy...I agree on the wheels with the same question; are they going to stay matte? Cuz' it would be cool if they did :D

Oh yeah, the wheels are definitely not chromed. I'm trying the whole black & satin metal finish throughout, wherever I can. I'm trying to decide now on the windshield & back glass trim, mirrors, and rear bumper - either going to scuff them with fine steel wool for the muted finish, or powdercoat... I hope to start it up for the first time in the next month or so and then it's a trip into bodywork hell...

Here's the wheels

Tom, a suggestion to "satinize" the shiny stuff: a white (ultra fine) scotchbrite pad typically works wonders!

If it doesn't provide enough "grain", try a red scotchbrite pad.
