Well I recently sold my '69 and I've come to the realization that I'll probably never get to this project, so I'm selling it.

It's a real 73 z/28, NON-RS, automatic (was) with a tan interior. it needs a TOTAL RESTORATION. It has no engine or transmisson. Otherwise, it's a really complete car. It has the front bumper guards and tall rear spoiler. I have both bumpers and they are in good shape.

I bought it just as you see it here. Someone went a little primer crazy, to keep it from deteriorating I guess, but it's a good solid body, except for the usual places.

I've started collecting replacement sheetmetal...2 front fender patches, 2 trunk drop downs, 2 outer wheel houses, both partial rear quaters (not shown) and the lower rear panel patch. I also picked up a 1980 Z hood w/ scoop (old hood was bent).

Floors and trunk pan are solid as are the frame rails, with the exception of one small area on the pass. side just behind the front spring perch seemed a little iffy. Easily patched. There's a small area of rust that extends into the the rear of the driver's door part of the rear quarter. I cut out a replacement piece from a donor car to patch it in, but honestly, for the effort, I'd just sell the partial 1/4's and do full quarters.

Worst part about the car? Some leasure suit wearin', disco dancin' knucklehead put a sunroof in it back in the '80's. I found a donor roof to patch it with, but you could either replace it with a better sunroof unit or buy a reproduction roof (I think they're now available.)

Anyway, I have more than this in it, so I'm asking $3,000.00 firm for it...as is, where is. I'm 40 miles south of Indy.

I bought Dougs 69, and can attest that he is completely straight up in his descriptions and dealings. The 69 that I bought is at least as good as described, AND he delivered it with a full tank of gas!
Doug...thanks for a good deal on a great car. We've got our suspension installed but got busy and haven't made much more progress.
Good luck with the sale of the 73!
