OK, guess I'm going to start this one off.......

Dave, If you dont get a motor in on time maybe you can have Rich cut a hole in your floor boards and you can Flintstone around Buttonwillow.

Todd, you know I'm headed back for a little Payback of my own

Greg has probably hired Mario Andretti to train with and will end up kicking everybodies butt

Chris is probably thinking of every excuse to get out of this one

Carl is probably thinking of another way to make race fuel illegal for this event.

It took you 7 laps to get to 2:18
21 laps to get to 2:14

It took me 4 laps to get to 2:17 and.........
I only got 12 laps in total for the day due to me and the car being out of tune

I'll be locked and loaded this year my friend!!:unibrow:

If memory serves from last September a certain Payback car suffered from a severe case of Premature E-track-ulation due to an overheated lubrication system, hence only making a few "laps" in some sessions before having to pull out. Meanwhile, the Creampuff kept pounding away for every session delivering the goods to everyone that it took for a ride. I don't expect much to change for 2012:D

Ok. The newbie is working on his smack talk....Here goes...

I'd rather be a Cole trickle wanna be than a Old Dick Trickler who drives fast..

I am Old and Sick with Heart and Brain Issues,But My Dick don't Trickle, and I plan to come out there on a Leaf spring set up, and the factory 350 Lt-1, 4 on the floor,On a third of the budget, and be shoving up your A$$ enough to at least keep you paying attention..

Don't let the Shiny Paint fool you..28 year old paint...So I am ready to Run..

Running what I brung, no trailerqueen or team, or adjustments..No excuses..

But I don't think my Car will break like some of the cream puffs and chest puffers on this site...

I am on my Bucket List's... I have been to death's door a few times in the last three years. Not too worried about the after life...seen it..

You might want to get out of the way....Or be really, really Fast..

Being the newbie, that was my best smack for the day....What did you marshmellows think ?

But I was just checking my smack meter...Because I can bench race pretty well..:willy:

If I can't stay ahead of someone at this event, i'll use the 225 fronts as the next most logical excuse.

I am using my Brain Seizures, Strokes, and My Heart Condition, if I have to..

And I don't have Weld money...And my eyes are bad...And my reaction times suck compared to my Pre Stroke days...No more numbness in my clutch foot...So I can't use paralysis as an excuse anymore..

Half of those don't qualify as excuses. Repainting the car will add a few pounds, as does having a complete interior. Pull the tooth and you've lost a little more weight. Those are advantages.

I think I'll bring my 3800 lb pig of a Ford out to play. I'd take my Camaro out, but she is a temperamental bitch, and having a legitimate excuse, like, oh say, "my engine broke," really isn't that fun.

Im thinking that if you installed any of those fancy begged and borrowed parts in your garage then you would have no excuses. At least this way you can always talk about what your car will be next year after you install that subframe that so far is just way to get Kyle Tucker to come to your party. Dont worry if you install those parts in black beauty and your still only top 10, then you can just tell people how fast your drag car would be had they not shut down the drag strips in LA.

LMAO...If I am not having a Stroke or a Seizure at that exact moment, I can't use those as excuses either.

 Broken engine is a valid excuse. Just don't expect Flash to agree, he could have a chunk of the block hit him in the kneecap and would say it's "just some blowby".

And speaking of Todd, he should have been a plastic surgeon with how much he "tunes" his car. "a little more here, a little less there, raise this up, make those bigger..."

Doug hasn't put those parts on his car so everyone will keep talking about him; because once they go on he'll be old news, and Mr. Popular can't have that!

No more one legger excuses from me---I really don't need to use it since I am consistenly ahead of most of the posi cars anyways.

If I can't stay ahead of someone at this event, i'll use the 225 fronts as the next most logical excuse.

Treadwear after that,

then motor,

then the "I don't have Weld money",

Investing 102

my ADD

etc---et al.

I can't put those other parts in the car---there's too much at risk now.

Hey, I resemble those remarks--and I wasn't top ten--top 16--it's important. Should I apologize now for driving your race car 1 second faster on the AutoCross than you did--on my first pass?

Here it comes-------Sorry.

Kyle and I were tight way before the subframe---we used to hang out all the time playing Dungeons and Dragons --he was the spellcaster and I was the thrallmaster---together we defeated many a gulfmoore.

Once I get the drag car running (), I will challenge you to a race--by then, one of the tracks should be reopened--and you can bring out your drag car----oops-----

And by the way, I don't see that you are coming to this event---why are you posting? Mods, please.

I knew you and KT went way back.

I have a buddy with a camaro with my name already written on the roof. ROGER LEE HOLDER, it has power windows still. I'm sure I could borrow it for pinks. But if I win you can keep all that barney purple stuff you have on the engine to try and hide the fact it's a small block under all the gay purple dinosaur engine dress up kit.

As far as signing up for the event, my wife has it on her list to cut and send a check. I just have no idea which car to bring. I might just bring my big rig and out class that El Paso Tex MEX pull rig you have out front of you house that you tried to say belonged to you neighbor with that boomerang radio antenna on the camper shell of you cut cab dually on 16.5" Boyds.

Just to be clear, you did beat my time but I would have thought you cut my time in half since everything on my car is twice as big and strong as everything on your car.

Chad, that really sucks about the work on your car. Brett seems extremely capable though, and he's developing a track record for rescuing forum members' cars.

Dave. Socalterminator? Really?

SVT Performance is where it is at. GT500s are the best and they're way cheaper to mod hp per dollar than those cat fish fourth gens, or those old cars that just overheat. Hell a pulley and a tune alone will get me to 550 rwhp. I could destroy a ZR1 for a fraction of the price. If I wanted. I raced this black with white stripes low rider looking Camaro with huge wheels last night, and pulled 10 car lengths on him. Then I saw this Blue Camaro with Ford stripes. I raced him, and when I floored it, I left him in the dust. I saw a big cloud of smoke in my rearview mirror, so maybe he was just doing a burnout, because his car couldn't hook. Stupid Chevy. My Ford doesn't even hook in 6th, it's well engineered 8.8 posi axle means I can still accelerate will spinning. It's also possible his engine blew up because it is a Chevy. So much for old school Chevy power. Then some guy in a little Civic hatch pulled up next to me. I saw that it had Eibach springs. I have Eibach springs too, they make my car handle better than a Corvette. Anyway, Civic dude wanted to race lol. Why would I waste me time? My supercharger displaces more air than his entire engine. So, I pulled off the line real slow, like normal driving, where I shift from 1st to 4th because my awesome Ford engine has sooo much torque. You wouldn't believe it, the dude in the Eibach spring lowered Civic gave me the ricer fly by. WTF? I think I'm still going to count the Civic as a racing kill.

I also saw this R8 Spider with this little rich guy driving it. I was thinking of racing him, but I know his car has a V10. What kind of mods would I need to beat him, if any? Gears and a pulley maybe? I just want to be sure that I can walk him.

Please let me know what mods I might need. Thanx Guyz!

Dude...

Just because your stupid Ford can't handle the insane power output of a Vtec motor doesn't mean you can spout of nonsense about 1st to 4th shifts and ricer flyby. I didn't even rev.... er I mean the Civic driver didn't even rev the motor up high enough for the cams to kick in haha!!

How much power does your Ford make per liter anyways? Never mind, it doesn't matter. V-tec > Ford.

When I sling the mudd I can back it up. I don't get on here and try to tell the whole world I'm Dale Jr like some of you. Because I'm not, I would actually rather be stuck at the shop try to build something else. But I am pretty quick with the wit on most days. So just know if you mess with the bull you get the horns.

Now back to My little buddy Todd. I'm curious how long of a running start you had to get with that cute little Tundra truck you pulled the 3800 lbs boat anchor in an enclosed trailer over the the grade out of Vegas. Did you have to drive all the way to Utah to get a running start to make it over the hill or did a friend of yours with an American made truck have to give you the Daytona two car draft to get up and over the hill? I realize you have kept the "TIOTA" Tundra truck of yours a secret and you only bought it after all the commercials on TV. That one with the fire sure makes you feel like it's almost American made. But come on a Toyota Tundra?

Oh let me guess, It's Kelly's.

I bought KELLI's Tundra so it wouldn't strand us in the middle of nowhere multiple times. :D She was driving a truck when I met her, and she still likes to drive a truck.

P.S. Middle of the Summer with the AC on, pulls both grades easily and the temp gauges DON'T MOVE.

I hope my 96 Dually can still pull my trailer up the Grapevine with a car in it. I love the idea of driving the car to the track, however I am not riding with the AAA driver again for 4 hours if it decides to break.

I have taken a different view of taking your car to the track with a truck and trailer now----I would rather drive the car to the track or course--but it's a pain to have it towed 200+ miles on a flatbed.

Time to get the truck back in shape----geez, mo expenditures.

That Texarkana Silverado special has been paid for since 1999. If it blows up on the grapevine, leave it for dead and you are still ahead of the game.

I think that means you're about as fast as you are tall.

I remember an instructor saying fast drivers were under 1 minute, average drivers were around 1 minute, and slow drivers were in the 1:10 plus range. You sure that time of yours is right?

I didn't think they timed you over there. When I get out there I'll have to see what I run. The pressure is on. I need to do better than 1:16 now. If not, you have the right to joke about me moving as quickly as Bob Bondurant's old dog.

There is a nice Hampton Inn (Spectrum Way) on the north end of town right near my shop that is a very nice place to stay and a straight shot out the track.

I was curious so checked out that driver of the Carrera and he runs pretty often and has some class wins apparently, so apparently 2:11 ain't a bad lap at BW. His best lap at Streets of Willow a few years ago was 1:31 -- I was 1:28 on street tires -- so I revise my goal for BW down to 2:08. :D

Or just sign up with the point by group, I've done track days before just never with the public. Putting a seat in is a deal breaker.

The bad news is I don't have enough horsepower to really get anything done on a big track, the good news is I would most likely blow up my engine and have incentive to rebuild another. I did just buy some continental slicks, I should give them a work out. Here is the aftermath of my last visit to Sears Point:

If I ever get to the track, " Seizure boy" will be lap traffic..

But my car is so damn sweet, that you are going to want to look at it over and over again...

From the front, the side and the rear... Slow down when you blow by me, and get a good look...

If I flip it over, you will get to see all the work Steve at East Bay Muscle Cars did to it...

So it is Bad A$$ from all sides, including under neath..

But I am hoping you will have to get on your knees to look underneath.

But Lap traffic ??? ,"Seizure Boy" is your guy...

Just not at Button Willow...

Also I lost 30 Pounds and I am Jockey weight. I increased my Power to weight Ratio by getting Frail/Skinny...Not by choice , but hey, I will use it to my advantage.. :lateral:

"Greg Weld works on cars?"
"Wow, it seems like Dave talks a lot about Todd now"
"Dave's not really that conceeded is he?"
"He said you might put a posi in your car--so that's the lady that drives really fast right? So she will help you?"
"Why does your friend have a picture of a chipmunk instead of a car on his little thingy?"
"Shouldn't Roger be made fun of also?"

LOL--it was almost as good as watching the video with her.
