I'm painting my trunk with East wood's Trunk kit and I have some bare seam sealer I'm going to paint over. I shouldn't have a problem .....Right ?? No bare metal all primed, scuffed and vaccumed. I'm going to tack cloth it too. Sound like I'll be safe?

Thanks

I haven't had any issues painting over seam sealer, so the trunk paint should be fine.

Thanks Jody. I thought so but I don't want to have to go in and remove it. Me getting in there is sort of like shoving 10 lbs in a 5 lb bag if you get my drift. lol
Thanks again.

Wayne, you should be just fine. I like to spray inside of a trunk to be spatter painted with black epoxy first as this really helps coverage of spatter paint and also provides good corrosion protection under spatter paint. Joe.

Although you shouldn't have any issues, I agree with Joe, shoot a medium coat of tinted sealer or reduced epoxy ,it will help adhesion and coverage

Right now it has green 2 part epoxy on it. I touched up the inside of quarter panels with the under coating/sound deadener that Mike gave me. He got a little over spray on them so I did it before the spatter paint. I also made some holes to mount the DSE battery hold down and a kill switch so I touched up all the edges with Epoxy primer to prevent rust. I had the door open when I sprayed the under coating but its strong stuff my heart is pounding. Mama yelled at me for no mask (she's right but I can''t admit it to her. ) then said I better not kick of in my sleep or she'll roll me down the stairs and out the door to the curb! Aint love grand.
Here are a few pictures from tonight.
Here's the quarter before coating them.

And one of the trunk scuffed and done with the tack rag.

Tomorrow I'll warm the garage to 75 kill the heat and spray the spatter paint then the clear when its ready for it.
