I'm still amazed at how far things have come in PT'ing in the last 10 years. The last 5 especially.

Super sweet car. My favorite color! Love the blue accent. Very nice touch.

The sail panel scoop is fully functional with air taken to the rear brake and the top of the headlight is screened and ducted to the front brake. The wheel opening scoops are also fully functional to let air out.

I would assume a car done on this level, it would be fabbed sheet metal.

Not to nitpick but what's up with the color-match on this side...even Ray Charles could see it doesn't match.

syborg tt

It must be the lighting as it matched at Detroit.

the color match problem is NOT a color match problem , go look at a new camaro on the showroom . its a angle of the quarter panel vs the flat of the door .
just a optical illusion on the color

I agree Kenny and Marty. I've seen cars where the light hits the different contours of certain parts of the car and depending on the amount of pearl, metallic, etc that's in the paint, it refects differently in the light.

Here's a pic of some of the body mods done to the "Professor" Camaro. All the body mods were done on this car for function purposes. The engine cover is fully functional, bringing air in and louvered to let the air escape through the hood vents. The louver in the sail panel is a fully functional brake cooling system like used in Nascar. To reduce drag, the rear deck was raised, the front window was laid back, and the roof was lowered. Air for the front brake is brought in through the headlight. The car was built to be a fully functional car at high speeds.

Great Illustration. This rendering shows the "Degree of Difficulty" very well. There's alot of body resculpting done to this car to provide the fit, form and function that such a build requires.

Correct-o-mondo!! I love this car. :hail: :hail: I can't wait to see the build pics. And to think after all of the fabwork done on ProfeSSor, guys were starting to think the owner skimped out with a cheapo paint job that didn't match.

Saw the car at a show just recently. The paint was spot on. There is no evidence of color match or blotching over the whole car. To judge a cars paint on a picture off a camera is not right. The car was finished nicely and very well done!

Just a few words regarding the issues discussed earlier on this thread- the car won the 2012 Good Guys Muscle Machine of the Year; Mid-American Gold Cup; Best Pro-Touring and Best Custom at numerous Autorama shows along with winning the CASI Cup award twice. The latest award it received was the Mother's Shine Award at SEMA- awarded by international judges including experts in design, engineering, paint, metal fab, etc

Watched the "Professor" participate at various Autocross events last summer. 44.407 second lap at the Kansas City Goodguys event was its best run. That's quite good considering it is a fresh build and there hasn't been much time with test and tune.
