Ever run a Drag radial or slick? What size tire can you run if you were going to the drag strip..? Plenty of data on the street and performance tire sizes not much for the drag setups.

Thanks for reading.

Not a Camaro but a minitubbed 3rd gen Nova, very similiar. Sees some drag strip action a couple times a year.

Have 17x11's on the back and had 315/35/17 Nitto 555R's. Good street tire and worked good at autox even with the drag radial sidewall. 650rwhp at the track was hit or miss though. Sometimes it would spin.

This year, more power so using a pair of 335/35/17 Hoosier drag radials (the kind with two straight lines down the middle) and they are supposed to hook better than any other 17. Hope they carry me into the 9's.

As far as a dedicated drag setup, Ive also had 15x10's with 27x11.5x15 Hoosiers on it and also a set of 325/50/15 Mickey drag radials with no problems. The 325's are tight but look killer.

I`m running 295/50/15 et streets for the strip on my 69 . Running around 750hp according to a 1/4 mile calculator and they seem to hook up pretty decent. Running the dse mini tub setup with caltracs, could get away with 315`s if I needed to.

My previous 68 Camaro I was running a Nitto drag radial 335/30/18. Never hit the track though.

Ive got 295/65/15 M/T E-T street radials on a 15X10 wheel on my 67 camaro. I am in the middle of changing backspace on the wheels, putting tubs in it and moving the rear of the leafs in with hangers. I will be measuring for backspacing shortly. I believe I will have room for a 315/65/15 et street radial on a 12" rim the way I am doing mine. I am putting a 1-piece aftermarket tub in it instead of the dse route as I want to be able get the car as low as possible. If you need any measurements let me know.
