Help with quarte panel fitting

Hello guys

This will be my first post on this forum as well my first post on a english speaking forum. So please be patient with my english.

I recently bought a projekt 67 Camaro that has seen its share of bad bodywork over the years. There is alot of work on this car but one of the bigger ones is the fitting of the rear end and the quarter panel. It has been cut to peaces without thinking about the rebuild.

As you can see form the pictures the back corner of the trunk opening i missing, as well as the quarter panel panel pieces which are welded onto the back plate.

I dont know how to attack this problem at this point, but i was thinking that i have to buy a complete quarter panel to make this work. I guess the "scin" replacement, or the 80% replacement does not have the back trunk corner.

Any tips or ideas is greatly appreciated.

I would buy a complete factory style quarter.

Buy new OE style full quarters to get rid of the botched pieced together mess ,that way you will have nice smooth quarters

Hi, I seriously would consider a full factory qtr. panel. We had 67 camaro at shop last summer and we installed AMD qtr. panels on it and they fit pretty good and are noticely thicker than other aftermarket qtr. for sale. Take a good look at your outer wheelhouses and see if they need some help too. :thumbsup: Joe.

I was leaning more and more to replacing the whole thing due to the patch work already done to it. It will take more time fixing the old ones compared to replacing the whole thing.

I was planning on ordering the fenders from Ricks Camaro, but i see alot of comments about the AMD stuff, is there a lot of difference from the stuff rics sells?

Make sure its an actual AMD tooled part. They do sell goodmark stuff too. Stefan can tell by part number.

i agree, the Goodmark stuff requires alot of fit work.
