Hey guys, just thought i would drop a few pics on here. I have a 68 Camaro i have had for ten years. I decided to do a forged ls2 d1 procharged swap with a 6 speed. I also decided to lower the car with 3 inch hotchkis springs up front and 3 inch DSE drop leaf springs in the rears. I also added a hotchkis sway bar and did the ls1 brake conversion. Along the way, i also did the common Iroc performance gear box swap. I have a pic of my car before i tore it apart. It has the standard grill but i purchased a billet rs grill and the DSE electric door conversion... thanks for looking

More pics. I have a le mans gas cap in store. Also threw in a few more pics of the engine and frame. I did a concept drawing on paint lol . turned out sweet. My girl friend bought me some sequential digitails. Gotta give her some credit... she knows exactly what to get a car guy for christmas lol. Oh yeah there's a pic of my trans am. The day i threw a rod. :( She is still sitting. Need to find some time to swap the engine, along with building this car.

Ive seen it on a few sites. Gotta love 67-68 camaros. Do you have a link to the build?
Everything looks great.
What pro-charger bracket did you use? Is this the universal LS kit offered by pro-charger?

Its the gto bracket. IM going to have issues with the head unit hitting the control arm. IM going to make some spacers/brackets.

I had originally used the gto bracket also. It just isn't a good bracket for the 1st gens. The Corvette bracket is much better. You also have to modify the inner fender too much. You also lose turning radius cause the wheel will hit the modified inner.

I think im going to put some spacers in between the bracket and the block to move it forward and have a pulley made or make a spacer for between the crank and the pulley. Or make a bracket to move the entire set up north a few inches to clear suspension and a arm

So how do i get a vender sponsor? Ive had this car since i was i was 13 and im 24 now. I will never sell this car lol. Im just getting to the point im needing some help on paying for stuff. And a guy said i should talk to venders about my build, which i think is modest, compared to the big boys lol.

Good luck on that venture. This has been brought up more than once and it's something that most people don't understand. Most vendor sponsored cars are completed cars that have proven themselves and have something to offer the vendor. Also, even if a car does have a sponsor, that doesn't mean the vendor is giving away parts. They may be selling them at a deeply discounted rate or maybe at their cost but not necessarily free. Vendors are going to have a hard time justifying paying money on a car that is not making a name for itself, let alone not assembled. I'd say if you're getting low on funds then now is the time to park it in the corner until you're ready to continue.

Looking good! Man, those Pro-Chargers are nothing to sneeze at. Not only do they look nasty, they work like crazy when applied properly.
I'm digging that gas cap too.

I've seen a few builds of cars that had the GTO seats and it takes a mods to get them to sit right. I seem to recall there was a comment that one of the motors for the seat hangs kinda low and either the floor pan need to be modified under the eats or the motor needs to be removed. There are a few threads on Protouring that deal with this mod, search around.
Fred Bartoli of Altronics used them and in the Camaro Performers didn't mention any mods that needed to occur to use that seat in his car. http://www.altronicsinc.com/camaro/
http://www.camaroperformers.com/featured-camaros/camp-1102-1969-chevy-camaro/viewall.html
I thought about it, but I was able to get a whole 4th gen and I am using those seats instead.

The fun part is... once you get everything mounted, you have to tear it all back apart and paint, then repeat lol. Ive been sand blasting parts for the last couple days. Im going to weld the lower fenders to the fenders. One less interrupting line in the body, a common mod i noticed. Hopefully in two weeks ill start doing some body work to the car and get the mini tubs in:unibrow:

I cut 3.5 inch holes into the inner fenders. I posted pics on the last page. It shows how a 90 degree bend pipe goes around the dse headlight motors. I will be making different pipes, the 90 was used as a reference. Ill post pics when i get the pipes made.

Looking good!
I wished I could have mounted my intercooler lower but the front parking/turn signal lights on a 69 get in the way. I also went with the C5bracket set up.
