Sorry guys, I crashed the car. The owner was too drunk to drive so he handed me the keys and wanted me to race the other drunk in the Mercedes. My name is Deter.

Let's solve for X, shall we?

(Straight road + Straight skid marks) = (X +(no talent + $1,000,000)drunk))

X=Dumbass

I just cringe when this happens to a car that is a piece of history. I wonder if Ferrari salvages the parts? You think that V12 would fit into one of our cars????

It should be hard to figure out who the owner was as i don't think they sold that many of these in the US.

I was thinking the same thing, Marty. Wasn't there only 50 built in total? How many of those are in the US?

They said Nicholas Cage has (had?) one, maybe he was doing his Gone in 60 Seconds thing, but more like Gone in 6 seconds. As in a million $ gone.

I beleive they only built 349 of them.

You also have to wonder if the insurance will cover it.

May be this is a legend but I watched an interview with an american whо owned Enzo and he said that not everyone who has 1 million $ could by Enzo.
You have to prove that you are real Ferrari fan, you have to be Ferrari Club member and have recommedation and a list with all the Ferrari models you have owned previous. And some other things that I don't remember. Then you send all the documentary to Ferrari and if you are lucky after few moths you can get your Enzo!

Something along those lines, you have to have owned 2 Ferraris previously, I am not sure which models. That's like your resume. Then you get invited to purchase one for $650K and 350 people get invited, and they only build 349. Now you can buy one if you have the cash, but it has to be off somebody else who already owns it. And the going rate is $1-$1.2 Mil. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

Sounds about right. Also, I believe the lucky 349 had to sign an agreement not to sell the car for one year.

The guy driving the Enzo was a Swedish criminal that has been in the states for a few years doing high dollar scams.

The story has been in the newspaper here for some time now. Today they have a four fullpage story on him.

The crash made the police investigate his history and they soon found that he was wanted in Sweden and the UK for a lot of economical crimes.

From DNA of the blood on the airbag they know that he was the driver.

He is in custody and has been since the crash. He is charged for economical crimes, narcotics, car theft and weapon possesion. If sentenced he will face at least the next 14 years behind bars.

He started his career as a leader for a moblike enterprise in a small town here in Sweden. His "buisness" was blackmail.
