I have a 98 and up LS1, by the casting numbers I have found. I am looking for other identification markers on the engine to help me get a better description of the motor.
The motor was attached to an automatic and I have since purchased a 01 T56. The flexplate from the engine is of 14" diameter, and I also have 2 flywheels of the same diameter. The clutch kits I have looked online for indicate that I am looking for a 11" flywheel?
The 14" flywheel I have has 167 teeth, counted them tnite.
Am looking for some guidance, as my 1967 Camaro is returning for the painter next week. I would like to have the powertrain in 1 piece ready to install upon the shells arrival.
Thanks in advance..

I'm no expert but I don't see how the starter will engage an 11" flywheel. I think it should be the same diameter with the same number of teeth etc as the flexplate. Are you confusing the clutch size with the flywheel diameter?

I think you're looking for a 11" clutch. But go do some reading on ls1tech.com
Youll find great info there on ls swaps and parts interchange.

You should be able to use any direct factory replacement flywheel for a ls1 camaro DS or z28 like your motor came from.
