I used the hooker super comps but probally will change, just put a set of Kooks on one that I just finished for a friend and they were real nice.Using the 1.5" back motor mounts you have lots of room, also saw that Fesler had a new set of LS headers in stainless, hoping to see next week at Goodguys,Columbus. Also Ryan your car eally looks great.

Awesome job man, I believe you have got the Tremec TKO transmission, just wondering what hydraulic clutch master cylinder kit you are using? I realized also you are not using the hydraulic clutch master cylinder and wilwood master cylinder firewall bracket either.
Also are you using stock or a different clutch pedal to be utilized with hydraulic clutch master cylinder?
Could you please give me some input on the set up you are using and part numbers will be appreciated.
The reason why I am asking is because I have got TKO 5 speed as well mated to the LS6 engine. However, the rod connected to the hydraulic clutch master cylinder is way too long and a firewall mounting bracket was fabricated to mount the master cylinder as shown in the below photos, and I would really like to sort out this mess and have a clean install.

Just picked up a couple of GM quarter panels,I know its alot of money but I will definitely do it again on next car I build after this one.Big difference in fit and gaps without much work,if I was a good welder like alot of fabricators on this site I would have reworked what I had,but unfornutely I am not a great welder and dont have a tig welder.Making progress still waiting for roof skin but got quarters and tail panel on and primed with very little work on gaps, really happy so far.http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000714_zpsa8707085.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000710_zpsf1d630cf.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000738_zps6bd2213e.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000734_zps056802f1.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000736_zpsde244168.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000737_zps7aa8dae3.jpg

No need to justify to anyone why you spent what you did on your car. We all share in this hobby alike and we all spend lots of money. :G-Dub: There's no difference in spending alot on GM quarters than the next man spending $8k on wheels or $20k on a LS9. It's only worth what you're willing to pay. Great parts by the way.

Thanks guys,I am thankful for aftermarket parts but I just had a few from a bad batch maybe?I am going to buy another set of quarters and fenders to have for later on next car.I did get an aftermarket rear taillight panel that was extremely nice and stamped with very crisp lines and straight as can be.http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000725_zps5634ccac.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000737_zps7aa8dae3.jpg

Probably the angle of the pic, but on header tube for cylinder #2, is there enough clearance for upper control arm to get proper camber adjustment?

Hey Jon on the stock subframe I used a solid moroso mount on the engine and the stock frame mounts but I made my own plate that moved the frame mounts back 1.5".sorry but I dont think I have any pics of the plate on the subframe.I think the DSE kit will work on stock sub, please check with them first to be sure, they are a nice kit.

Hello Jeff,
In regards to the Hooker Headers with the DSE sub how far do they hang down below the sub? Also do you happen to have the part # for which one you ordered?? I love the DSE headers but they are expensive, I'm trying to keep my project cost in check due to the fact that my wife and I are moving and started the house building process.
Thanks

Hey Chris the part #2288-1HKR are the headers that I have used twice and really happy for the price,I will buy DSE headers for my next carThose were probally the best pics I have for now.I am putting car on rottisserie right now but in a week or two I can get more pics for you.As far as clearance they are better than a few other brands that I have put on other cars,I am not badmouthing anydody elses headers because they are alot of nice LS headers out there, but the finish on these is alot better than a couple more expensive brands that I have installed, your car is looking great Chris.

There you go Jeff nice work! Are you going to paint it apart or together? Just wondering as I always paint solid colors apart and pearls and metalics together? Well I should clarify I paint the front ends off the car, I alway put the doors on if the bolts for the hinges are stock and getting painted. This way you do not crush the paint with a socket.

Got a few pics been busy this week, got the sound deadener on the interior, dash painted, motor in and working on wiring, have a lot the major wiring laid out and in place but need to pick up some wire loom at Columbus next weekend, trying to get it rolling and running then to paint, painting it in pieces so should be easy to wrap up and no overspray, still got to do something with that ugly dipstick and get the wiring all covered up.http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000779_zps13a4ceab.jpg (http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/tubbed69/media/P1000779_zps13a4ceab.jpg.html)http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000776_zpsee0680ad.jpg (http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/tubbed69/media/P1000776_zpsee0680ad.jpg.html)http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000775_zps5a2a693e.jpg (http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/tubbed69/media/P1000775_zps5a2a693e.jpg.html)http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000777_zps4da30714.jpg (http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/tubbed69/media/P1000777_zps4da30714.jpg.html)http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000771_zps77c4ace7.jpg (http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/tubbed69/media/P1000771_zps77c4ace7.jpg.html)http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa339/tubbed69/P1000772_zpsc43c11a0.jpg (http://s1192.photobucket.com/user/tubbed69/media/P1000772_zpsc43c11a0.jpg.html)

When pics are going to be posted online that will be taken in the garage/shop, photoshopping can offer the quickest way to achieve a clean work area. Plus no air quality issues from sweeping/vacuuming/use of cleaning solutions either. Just something to keep in mind. ;)
