HOLOHAN'S HOT ROD SHOP

The owner started the restoration process 12 years ago and got as far as having it re-painted and then stopped.
It's an original 40K mile car that his Grandparents bought new in 1956.
All of the sheet metal is in perfect condition.
The car came in to do some mild suspension work and vintage air install but has taken on a life of its own and now has moved into becoming a great Street Cruiser that the owner and his bride can enjoy.
Upgrades:
-- TCI IFS front suspension with new front frame rails by
Holohan's Hot Rod Shop
-- ZZ4 Crate engine with Thumper Cam and FAST EFI
-- 700R4 Trans from Bowler Transmissions
-- boxed frame rails with hand built triangulated rear suspension by by Holohan's Hot Rod Shop
-- new chassis center section by Holohan's Hot Rod Shop
-- 2 1/2" exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers
-- Reworked instrument cluster form Classic Instruments
-- Fresh stock color dash paint work
-- Mild sound system with ipod connection in stock ash tray
-- Vintage/Air
-- relocated brake booster
-- power steering
-- refreshened stock interior with Dynamat sound deadener
-- trunk interior to match interior
-- 18" Schott Billet Wheels
-- projected 5" ride height to bottom of chassis
-- paint kept intact with new clear coat
-- Bed Liner on inner fender wells and under belly
-- new fuel tank
-- all new wiring kit from American Auto Wire
I'll be posting as many pics as possible. My website (currently being re-vamped) will have all the complete build pics.
Enjoy

Keeping an eye on this one. My '56 will soon have its day. I just drive it stock currently. Love the styling and not as cookie cutter as the same era chevys
What are you doing w/ the stock power steering setup? I would like that for mine if you are going to can/ shelve it.

Hey Jay,
Yeah I built the jig for my 61' but I figured it would be easier to finish the OLDS chassis on it. Getting to old to work off the floor anymore!

Dan it's good to see you are still doing top quality work and still inspiring people like myself.Glad to see things are starting to come together for you.thanks for sharing.love the car .just needs a newer power plant. that frame and suspension deserve something better than a sbc. of days gone by. I would rather see the oldsmobile motor than a sbc..keep up the great work.

Updates?
Excellent work as usual, Dan. Kelle and I have to come down there and visit! Now if you could only have talked him into modernizing that Olds motor...
