Taking the camaro to a .5 mile roll race event...

So.. not your typical pro-touring event.... But should be fun.

I have the Camaro undergoing some surgery right now.

Replaced the Fast 92mill throttle body with some other throttle body..(forgot the name already)

I was running out of injector at 900rwhp so i put in some Racetronixx 120lb to replace the Precision 84lb's.

Rreplaced the Son of Tranzilla T56 for the new Magnum Son of Tranzilla.

Waiting for Tony G to fly out and retune her. This time im going both Race gas tune, and a pump gas tune.

Really don't know what kind of power i'll be seeing... Hopefully she stays together and makes a good showing at the event!!

Should be pretty fun.. it looks like im the only Pro-Touring style car going. Shoot.. looks like im the only car more than 10 years old going!!!

Im sure it'll get smoked pretty good by the 1300 hp GTR. Hopefully it does decent against the 900 hp GTR...

I just want it to make a good showing.

In the street world.. its such a target you know. Everyone wants to race it.. This event is full of all the highway racing street racers. Most know i "retired" from it.. so they are all stoked to try and get a piece of the Camaro!! lol.

Sounds cool, I think there are some vids of similar events on youtube. Really cool to see certain types of cars run each other that you would normally never see. Good luck and post some updates and vids.

So after the new parts are on...

TonyG from Tuners Inc came out and worked some magic on the Tuning.

This car never ceases to amaze me...

I couldn't do a kill tune because i forgot to grab some good fuel.. but here is some pump gas numbers.

Dynocom Dyno 3500lb drum

91 oct
21* timing
8 psi

849 rwhp 846 rwtq

100 oct
21* timing
10 psi
injector duty cycle was 54%

949 rwhp 1008 fptq

the A/F's were 11.3 all through the band.
When i get a print out and video.. i'll post em up. But here's some eye candy anyway.

I did see a GTR got 1st and a 996TT came in 2nd in Unlimited Class.

Unfortunately on my first pass... my clutch Master Cylinder went out.

For a couple days i was fighting with a leaky one.. and the night before we left it went out.

Its a 13/16th bore size.. and hard to find. I actually found one.. so on the day we were leaving... i drove to go get it. the guys put the 3/4 bore Master in while i was gone. When i got back with the new one..they said the 3/4 was working fine. So we ran it.

Well.... It blew the seal on the first hard high rpm shift.. so it wouldnt diss engage the second clutch disc.

I brought the bigger bored Master just incase... so i went to work. Changed it real quick but didn't bring the shortened clutch rod with me. So it was over.

Could be worse, I blew my motor 2 weeks before the event. :( Hope to see you at the next one!
