Hi,
I have designed custom set of headlights and taili lights for my new project car. They have been designed from scratch, and now I have no any reference part to start with.

I really don't know yet how to build a custom set of lens.

I've see some video about termo forming transparent acrylic sheets.

It looks pretty easy but before mess up with new tools and materials I would like to know if there is some professional out there that custom build headlights and taillight assembly.

Any help ?

thanks.

Call the Roadster Shop. They are members and venders on here. They designed a custom pair of headlight lenses for the Street Machine of The Year Winner...a 67 Nova named the InNOVAtor.

InNOVAtor's build thread....

I know S.A.R. in Oregon builds custom headlights and lenses. Give them a call and tell em Greg Weld sent you!

That's a joke and probably way out of line. I know of a composites shop in the area that has done this kind of thing, I'll try and get you the number.

Got any progress pics?

If the wife will let you use your oven you can easily do it at home.
The smell will go away after a couple hours.

You can do it many differnt ways. You can vacuum form them or drape form them.
You can also machine them from a block and then polish them clear, however its a ton of work.

Jesse Greening@ Greening Auto Company is another source to have them made.

Depending on the shape, it's fairly easy to make lenses. I made one for an old T-Bird I had.

I used a bowling ball as a form:
