Matt and I got together and came up with a unique way of doing the centerbolt covers without using big support washers on top. They also are wider than a standard small block cover which I think looks cool. They use a button head stainless allen bolt to hold them down (not shown) which is a theme in my engine compartment.

Allen,

I don't post a lot anymore on the other site, but I did with this one because I wanted Matt to get some credit for his work. He wasn't happy with how they turned out but I am which is what matters.

Now, play nice buddy! :D

:P Believe me I'd LOVE to. It will now be next week. This may be what makes me miss the Power Tour as it was supposed to be done by the end of December. Losing 4-5 weeks is a killer.

As SOON as I have something to post I will!

Looks great!

Did you paint your compressor housings?

Oh, and don't go canceling your HRPT reservations just yet. ;)

Powder coated them to match the a-arms/springs. Gotta think color-coordination you know!

And no, no matter what I'll be on Tour, either in my car or bumming a ride with someone!

Just giving you the down the road there dude... what sort of coating is that on the manifolds and the turbos?

The manifolds and exhaust housings on the turbos are a titanium 2000 degree coating done by a local shop. The only colors you can get the high heat is that and flat black.

So Jody, I guess you liked my header color so much you decided to copy me? LOL!

That coating looks even better believe it or not after the first few heat cycles. It picks up a subtle sheen that it doesn't really have in the "just coated" state.

I think I need to stop up there for a "status check" on Saturday.

Hey, I have no problem borrowing your good ideas Troy! Actually didn't remember you went with that color, but it looks a lot better than black on my car.

Agreed. If you had them coated black I would have teased you about having a BBQ under your hood. :P

Speaking of stealing ideas, now I'm kicking around the idea of trying a set of sheetmetal valve covers...

Jody,

Those look really clean! My project has been on hold for a few week since we are building a new shop. Looking at that motor just fired me up!!!!!1
