Ok so I've been trying to figure out what trans I'm going with. I know for sure I want a 6 speed manual. I know that the LT1 style T-56 will bolt up to a SBC/BBC but how about the 6060. What are some of the differences in Shifter location ( I know they are different, further back believe), Bolt pattern, Tail hosing, Input and output shaft, ect. This is going in a BBC truck and an LT1 T-56 is an almost direct swap, tailshaft matches, use LTx style clutch. The main reason I'd like to go with the 6060 is I found one really cheap $1500 shipped, and the newer beefier design and smooth shifting. From what I've read it's a superior design. Discuss...

TR 6060 is the take out from the new Camaro (I'm sure you know this), but there is an issue with the shifter location and the output shaft that has to be changed to use in our "conventional" setups...

Here is a GREAT thread I found on ls1tech that describes changing everything over to make it a T56 Magnum.

I did know that they had the output shaft thing, and a driveshaft shop should be able to handle that no problem. That thread looks like what I needed to know. I know that guys bolt the T-56 magnums up to there BBC's. Now I just need to know how? What clutch / flywheel setups are used. What slave cylinders, and pedal assembly, and speedo and reverse light setup?
