I was wondering if anybody has any pics of a center console from a 98-02 camaro mounted in a 69 camaro? I am interested to see how it turned out and also what had to be done to get it mounted? All info will be appreciated.
Thanks a lot

There are pics of one installed over on pro-touring. You will have to trim one side to get it fitting the floor. His name is Z06vette

I used the dirty dingo Double D's. They have 3 positions- nuetral, forward & back. Mine is positioned in the back, which moves the drivetrain closer to driver/firewall.

I have a complete set up for sale if anyone is interested, with A/T shifter. Perfect shape.

Z06Vette, it looks like you also used 4th gen seats in the front. Did you use rears also? Did the rear seat legroom get worse with the F4 front seats? I want to make sure I can get the kids in the back still, but I would like to go to F4 seats. Thanks for any insight!

I did not use the rears. Had the fronts covered to match original replacement covers. I'm 5-10, so it did not affect the rear room that much. My 10 year old step son fits fine, 14 year old step daughter not so much. She will usually sit in passenger rear and we move the pass front seat up for her. She's about 5ft 5". I just finished a 68 firebird vert for my wife, so now we can take 2 cars if its a longer trip. Seats are well worth using despite losing a little rear seat room.

I never used the forth gen stuff. I went all custom. I still have the seats for sale if you want them

Thanks for the reply and info. My kids are 5 & 7, so I could probably be OK for a few years with the 4th gen seats. I wonder if using the 4th gen rears buys you some leg room back. They seem like they might be a little more compact. This definitely sounds like a good future update.

My wife would like your approach for longer trips. She would love a 68 Bird vert. She keeps telling me to cut the top off my Camaro coupe.

Bigtyme1, thanks for the offer on the 4th gen set. I'm up in Michigan, so the cost of shipping would probably push the cost out of my range.
