I need a new tranny but I don't want to I with a Muncie again. I think the engine I have now (350) has too much power for the four speeds. What can I swap in to give me a couple more gears and handle a little more. Also I don't want to have to do a ton I fabrication.

Lol yea but I don't know what kind would be a direct fit. Also is there anything that can later be used with an ls motor if I choose to go that route?

I highly doubt your 350 has too much power for your Muncie. Power they can hold pretty well.... but their linkage system is not great for quick shifting.
A T-10 is a good option if you don't need overdrive and should be a direct fit. There is one in the for sale forum I just saw for under $1000 fresh.
How much power do you have, what are your intentions with the car, and what is rear end gear ratio?

I'm not too sure how much power the engine is pushing its roller camed...The had the muncie on it but the case cracked.I figured this was just due to too much torque. Gearing as it sits right now is 4.10 but i do what do drop this down to a 3:73 or so. Later down the road I would like something more along the lines of pro touring.

If you get the LS based T56 and not the LT1 version.
BTW.....even GM put the Muncie in high horsepower applications.
