Thanks...I just put on my Dynatech 1 3/4" step headers on the motor. I'll snap a picture tomorrow and post it. I was out in the garage putting them on and trying to get the plug wires routed. I bought universal MSD plug wires after ordering 3 different pre-terminated sets that I did not like how they fit.
These Dynatech's are very nice headers. Quite heavy

Here's the motor with the new Dynatech headers and the halfway put on plug wires. I want to route them under the headers, but the driver's side header is tight against the block around cylinder #5. I guess I'll just have to go over the headers.
I didn't mess with the wires today. I decided to finish up mounting the a/c condenser and trans cooler. Had to make some brackets to mount them. Anyone know how to adapt -an fittings to stainless hard lines?

Looks damn nice to me.
There are AN to hardline adapters made by most fitting companies. I've got a handful on my car and they are Jegs brand.
That's a perfect song and band for our buddy from San Fran.

Aren't you running the new Wilwood D154 rear ebrake setup? I just purchased the kit and was wondering what size calipers you are running for front as well as rear along with rotor size? How do you like the rear brakes? I also ordered the D52 2" piston calipers for the front and am going to run 11 3/4" C3 Corvette rotors. I modified a 69 Camaro front caliper bracket years ago.

Yep, they make them in male as well.
I suppose you like Prince too?
I am running a Wilwood D154 with internal parking brake. I'm very happy with it so far. Cured my knockback, kept my e brake, and looks great. I have a Wilwood Superlite 6 piston with a 13" front rotor. Back is a 12.19".

haha! Prince is alright:unibrow: I'm a product of the 70's/80's. I remember wanting the Michael Jackson Thriller album and my father told my 'NO'. He got me a Rod Stewart 45 record with 'Da ya think I'm sexy' instead.
I'm still a ways away from getting my car to the stage of driving. I need to make a build thread just so I can get some questions worked out, mainly. My build is no where near the aptitude of the builds I see on here. I'm sporting 15" Rally's on the car. Wheels will come in phase 2.0

Those fittings will work on stainless lines as well? I assume you do not have to flare the line?

Mako,
I am looking at those same headers, have you had any clearance issues. Does the coating look as good close up as in your picture. Also what exhaust system do you plan to use?
Thanks

My headers fit well. The coating looks good. I'm pleased with them. I'm running 2.5" dual muffler magnaflow exhaust kit

I still like my ol' 406. It's got enough power for my street car (450ish hp, 550 lb ft). Looks and sounds good too...

I've got a SBC (Dart Little M) 408 -- makes big streetable power... and runs like a champ and DOES NOT LEAK...
I've got a nice little SBC 383 stroker -- runs like a champ and is a perfect power plant in my little lightweight '32 Ford
I've got a powerful stocker SBF in the Mustang that runs like OMG.. and winds to the moon...
Nothing wrong with any of these motors.... but I will say the best driving '55 Chevy I've ever been in -- was the one I built with the LS2. Hard to even sum it up - but it was just friggin' amazing.
I'd still never stick on in a '32 Ford... it's just WRONG.
I'm hoping the LSX376 in the Bubbblebutt build will make me as happy as the LS2 did.
