define what you consider the best.

Best at opening and closing? Best at having the hood open greater? Best at having the best alignment? Best Machining quality? etc...

see what I mean.

My Two cents...The Ring Brothers are who thought up the hinges and everyone else copied them. I would much rather support the guy that thought of it and not reward the guys that copied him.

If it was you that thought it up, who do you think should get the support and business ?

I bought a set from Eddie Motorsports and they're a very nice quality, but don't open enough on my shoebox. Don't know whether their Camaro hinges open any higher but EMS were great to deal with. Just my 2 bits on another option out there.

Ring Bros or Fesler. I believe Fesler hinges allow for the hood to open a bit more.

I compared the Ring Bros hinges on Stielow's Red Devil to my stock hinges on Jackass and the Ring Bros hinges open farther than stock now.

Very happy with my Eddie Motorsports (EMS) hinges for the dollar. Excellent quality.

Actually the OEM thought them up and Ring copied them so should we all stop buying billet and go OEM. We made them better and open another 6 inches from OEM and Ring and now years later they all seem to have our design and open just like ours. Funny isnt it.

Nothing wrong with the Fesler's either. My bud bought a set for his 55 recently and is quite pleased with them. Speaking of which, I see your billet door handles are on sale Chris? I'll give you a call tomorrow as I'm going to need set of those to finish my door panels.

Actually I don't think I have ever seen a Billet OEM hinge. Ring opened his up after I kept complaining to him.

And here we go!!! A simple question is going to turn into a basch fest. I think Scott has quality vendors on this site. I go to them first before I call anyone else for that reason. Bottom line is, these guys put out great quality products you won't go wrong with either one of them.. I'm done...

Ring brothers was the first to intorduce the billet hood hinge to the Pro touring arena. However I do believe as a Manufacturer EMS was the first to make a billet hood hinge they were making them for years before in the Marine world.

Ring Brothers came out with that Mustang hinge first then the Camaro version. Lets be honest Fesler came out with a copy. Then numerous people not only Charlie were complaining of the hood not opening enough.
Fesler fixed the issue first then the Ring Brothers copied them. Most makers of the hinge have this style currently.

Its going full circle they all are taking designs from each other. Its making a better product.
I think that Ring Brothers offer a slightly better machined quality product. Ring Brothers also come out with great visual designs(air frames) in there products.
Other than that they are all the same.

I have a set of clear anodized Fesler hinges for my '69. I have not installed them yet but they are absolutely flawless pieces. Plus the hood opens a couple of extra inches.
