I have a p/s rack kit and I currently have this fitting:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Unisteer/668/8021570/10002/-1?parentProductId=1223161
But I need this in 18mm/8AN not 6AN cant find it anywhere I even tried looking at Hydraulic specific sites with no luck. would prefer steel not sure if material will really matter as its for my return line.
OR
I need to come up with a more flexable return hose that looks like "steel Braid"
the reason I need this is because I decided to make up my own P/S hoses for my unisteer kit as Unisteer wants you to run some really short hoses that look like ass when installed BUT the aeroquip hose im using with the hard vinyl inner in size 3/8 or size 6 what ever youd like to call it, is not flexable enough to go over the return side nipple on the supplied pump.SO I need a good looking hose that will stand up to the P/S fluid OR a Size 8/18mm Bajo to get everything done.

You probably won't find one.
Just use a -6 to barb fitting and use that. It's not pressurized so you can get away with clamps.

Cut off the -6 and tig a -8 on. I make fittings all of the time for out local hydrauilc shop.

Call around and see if there are any specialty hose shops in the area.
I had a similar problem with a turbo on my DD, could not find the banjo bolt or water fitting to save my life. Went down to the hose shop and they made me a water line and sold me the banjo fitting. all for under $50
They are Mesa Hose in Costa Mesa CA, I don't think they have a website but if you still can't find anything give them a call (949) 645-2661
Good Luck:thumbsup:

the pump im using has a plastic reservoir it is this pump here:
http://www.unisteer.com/seach_by_veh...+steering+pump
with the brackets and pulley for ford of course
Someone on PT suggested modifying a bulk head fitting and putting in the reservoir and then I would have an AN outlet on the pump. just dont want to eat the cost OF a reservoir in case it doesnt work.I guess i could use a sealing ring on both sides of the bulk head just in case?

I did the same in the past, worked fine. They make o-ring sealed AN washers to use on either side to seal it, no leaks. Later switched to a remote reservoir pump and one of Mike's (Musclerodz) remote ps tanks, worked even better and cleared up a lot of room around the pump for me.

so did you just come up with something and thread it into the plastic tank? did you use a nut on the backside. I ask because there is a baffle right above the return and it looks like getting something on the back side of the fitting might be impossible. unless I cut the baffle out which im thinking if its baffled its baffled for a reason.

67XR7,
Is this what you are looking for? https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=8754
Looks like you already have the 18mm banjo bolt right, you just needed the banjo itself. hope this helps

Sounds like maybe you could go with an intermediary step and run a reservoir in the system.... so you'd go -6 from the rack low pressure side - to the reservoir with a -6 inlet - and then go from the reservoir with a 5/8" hose barb to the return (usually a 5/8" hose barb fitting) on the pump.

update: the situation has been handled. The fitting from DSE worked like a charm. I know I way over paid for it. But I called and had a few questions and for taking up there time the least I could do is buy it from them.$17.00 plus $11.00 in shipping was a little rough since they had the same thing down the street for $12.00 but sometimes you have to pay for the knowledge.
It worked great ,I cut off the nipple and threaded the bung and there was tons of "meat" to make plenty of threads. The only things I caution for anyone who plans to do this mod is: do what ever it takes to keep the plastic shavings out of the reservoir and clean it thuroughly because some will get in their.
The other thing I caution is this pump has has both a vertical and horizontal baffle thats all one piece SO do not bury the fitting to hopefully get it to sit flush against the tank. You will not get any fluid in the return! that was pretty much my only gripe about it. heres a pic:
