I thought it would be fun to see what we all have planned with our income tax returns for our cars, or not. I am happy to say mine will be going toward the Camaro but not in any fun ways. I have had some electrical gremlins for a while, already replaced the tach, and now it seems a new speedo is in store. After that I need to fix some serious exhaust leaking. So that should eat up my return.

Will anyone elses car be on the recieving end of a tax return?!

engagement ring fund. I designed the ring with my jeweler a few months ago. For what the ring cost I could finish my camaro! Girls these days.....lol, ahh its important to them like my car is important to me.

After I get that thing bought I will be back buying more parts for the car :)

Through a wierd deal we got a huge return this year.. almost 11,000 :wow:

We are doing a bunch of landscaping in the backyard, a new fountain and such.

Also gonna upgrade the bbq.

Car wise I will drywall the garage, paint, new floor and some cabinets. I also have to run 220 out there so I can get my air compressozilla working.

The rest into savings and then I need to adjust my withholding. It's nice to get $$$ back but it's better not to give the govt a free loan :)

Technically the perfect filing is where you owe $799.. lol

You depend on the spellchecker too much. It's Karat.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get enough to buy myself a new engine for my car. Then I can have fun again.

You should see the details she has told me about this darn thing. I am considering becoming a jeweler myself after all the education I have. Princess cut 1.3CT, baggets around the band, white gold-she doesn't like the weight of platinum! Thank goodness cause the price is higher! all that BS I don't understand. I am going to do it right once so she doesn't want to upgade in the future. Hopefully! lol In all honesty its well worth it, and I have been working hard and saving for a long while.

Marraige! I know you have a year or two on me....but man, I just got rid of that burden I called my Ex. I couldnt imagine getting married. I am too immature, and want a carreer before a wife. Well...I at least say that now...I am sure some girl will change my mind.

How 'bout a wife? Slightly used, rarely upset when you are not around, knows every damn thing you could possibly need to know. Comes with a back up know it all Mother in Law in case shes sick(wife) to make sure your every move is second guessed. $100,000.00 and I'll throw in a nice 69 Z-28, house on 7 acres, detached garage.

Ok,Ok. I'll give you $120,000.00 and the house, Z-28, detached garage and three money pits (son and 2 daughters) with free cars, clothes and the inability to say "Thanks". And that's my final offer.

Hurry and get your laughs on this one cause it is gettin deleted soon.

I just purchased a newer daily driver, a 2000 Camaro 3.8/5spd :D with 30,000 miles on it. It is is replacing my previous daily driver, a '94 Saturn 1.9L/5spd with over 120,000+ miles (I am not for sure that is where the odometer stopped working over a year and a half ago). When I am done with school it will get some big changes, but for right now I think it will be a good upgrade :) (I pick it up on Monday). Anyway, part of my return will go towards the loan and part of it will go towards a few things that it "needs" (namely wheels/tires).

Well, guys are particular about car parts and women are particular about diamonds.. lol

I had my wifes custom made.. the band is inlayed with opels. That way she got exactly what she wanted and that = a happy wife

Not exactly a tax refund, but we just purchased a half acre of beachfront property in Guam. We have about 40 yards of beach leading into a lagoon with a small island approximately 200 feet from shore. The water is _super clean_ and the beach is ideal for lounging, beach BBQ or launching a PWC. About 200 yards out is the end of the choral shelf; this is an ideal breaker for the rollers coming in from the east.

Out past the breakers - The maps indicate that the fishing there is good while the trade winds are coming in. Tuna and a host of game fish are in the area for catching. Dives are abundant within a few miles. Underwater, there are Japanese aircraft and ships from WW2, German boats form WW1, American boats and craft from both wars within easy boat range. Also in the area are places known for dolphins on the yearly trek to their winter quarters as well as pods of whales (pilot whales, sperm whales etc…). According to the local dive crews and divers, the average visibility underwater is between 80 and 120 feet; this is among the best in the world. Looking from the beach out to sea, you are facing roughly towards Nicaragua. There is literally _nothing_ between the shore and the west coast of South America in between. Turn to the south a few degrees and you are looking over the deepest part of the ocean; the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench is about 150 nautical miles from our beach.

Attached a couple of pics of the beach, plus one overlooking a similar area from a long way off... Actually to the right in the overlook picture is Asan point where the Marines landed in Guam in WW2-

While the beach is actually public property and is not really part of the property, it is in a location remote enough that it can be said to be private for all practical purposes. There is another lot next to this one and we are trying to acquire it as well; that would give us pretty much all the land we would ever need, plus control the neighbor situation. :)

Going to be starting up a house project later this year with a super cool garage-

That is awesome!!!! That is being added to my places to visit. I love old WWII history and diving something like that would be incredible. Congrats!
