So Who is going to the Goodguys Autumn Get-Together in Pleasanton CA this weekend?

We will be running the same layout for the AutoCross that we ran during the Summer event so it should be fast and fun.

I will post the results after the event.

Ed, which course is this? the little "peanut" course (as many call it) that results in approx 30 second runs?

It will be the medium sized peanut. It was great at Summer so it will be fun.

Come by and have fun.

Bret in the 48 hr Camaro is supposed to be there too I read.

Your first Peanut Auto Cross---let me know how you like it--I suspect you will have a great time---Rich can navigate and mow down from the Tri Tip vendor on every corner. Get comfortable with running at Pleasanton since June is coming and we will expect you to be there when we all drive up this coming year.

Yeah buddy! I also suspect Rich will be putting bananas in Hobaugh's, Mary's & Maier's tailpipes to give us common folk a chance... :D

I'll see you in March! And don't forget, you have 2 Norcal trips up here in 2012... June GG and then Run to the Thunder whenever Howell announces the date on that event.

It was an unfortunate incident. Two of them today. She is okay and the car will be fixed.

Yep 2 casualties today.... man I don't like the way they put those barriers around there so damn close.

Mark was driving a killer red 64 Vette with an LS. Bad ass.

Brian, Mary & Mike Maier were the stars of the show today as expected.

Had a lot of fun at Goodguys yesterday.Probably the first time I've stayed all day at A G.G. event in YEARS! The staging for the cars left something to be desired.Seems like when its held in that Area there is always casualties. atleast when it was in the area of the swap meet there was more room to space out the k-rails. and you were able to get spectators 360deg. around the course plus with added fence line more spectators got to be up front and it didnt seem crowded as much. on the other hand if Goodguys decides to keep it where it is this weekend atleast move it back towards the Trees for June show so spectators have shade and The participants can stage on the other side where you wont get a ton of people walking through the staging area allowing participants to have "More Runs".Sorry for all the NOOB criticism!

The weather today was perfect. We all parked a few feet back and used the grass as a driveway to our stalls. It was run very smooth today with only one car (Cobra replica) hitting (just a kiss) a fence. No apparant damage today. Times went lower today, especially Mike Maier and Mark Rife improved. I was able to finally figure it out today and drop .7 seconds off my best Saturday time. It was great seeing Mark with his 1963 Corvette make it out to Pleasanton and give me a run for my money.

Here is the in car video from my best run today.

James,

That was Mike Maier's National Championship winning CP Mustang. He was running demo runs and he may put 200 treadwear tires, headlights, and wipers and run OUSCI next year..........just kidding. :D

The Corvette was Mark's and he ran at OUSCI. Awesome car. You took some photos of it. He pulled all of his stickers off for this weekend.
