I am in the market for a new aftermarket rear for my 69 Camaro and I am trying to decide between 2 options - a Dana 60 and a ford 9 inch. The quotes I got from Moser and Currie put both set-ups in the same price range, so I was wondering which was the better way to go.

Thanks.

My vote would be 9" out of those two... but Im personally going with a Moser 12-bolt 33-spline true trac over the winter.

The 9" is less weight than the 60. Have you considered a 9" with floating hubs?

Hand down the 9"

Actually i'm a little confused on how both of those can be the same price.
A 9" built with good parts to be as strong as a dana is usually more. if you are using a stock style 9" housing and a iron center it won't be lighter than the Dana. Don't forget a 33 spline 12 bolt with a true trac is a great rear and does the job well.

What are you using the car for? Why not consider a 12 bolt? This camaro belongs to a friend of mine and he runs in the high 8's. 12 bolt has held just fine. I hear people all the time just assume they need a 9". In most cases, will people really need or use the added benefits of a 9". 12 bolts look great under a camaro. Just my two cents, not that is means anything. Different strokes for different folks. In the end, the most important thing is you are comfortable with what you choose. Can't go wrong with any of them. I would however put the Dana at the bottom of my list. Very heavy rear.
