Ok,

We are completely at a loss for our staff, customer, and me to make a decision on this. We have done our cnc machined coil covers in a media blast to match the factory blower housing on the LSA crate engine. It looks neat and to tie into that we did all our cnc'd caps and fuel filler with a media blasted center to match it all.

We made our intake tube, and none of us can come to a concensus on how it should be finished. Brushed is out of the question as it won't tie into anything that is going on under the hood. Heres where we are at:

Polished - personally I think its too much bling
Black powder - yes it would be copying Mr. Steilow, but it looks so good and allows the motor to be the attention point?
Media blasted - you dont see that much and it might be cool as it would match the motor, but might look wrong?
Media blasted and then black powdered - for that subtle textured look.......

Tyler, post up a picture of the motor!

I voted black powder.

Highlight the features you want to show off and hide the others. The intake tube can be a very big item and the first thing people see.

Sorry should have done that from the start..... first pic shows the finish on the coil covers/blower

Second the fabbed up intake without finishing.

Anodize to body color, or as close as you can to body color.

I would powder coat it Cadillac dark blue, textured on the intake and smooth on the coil covers.

Try to keep the same as the header tubes.

Another vote for textured black, less is more IMO.

Ok it's done.... we went with a slightly textured black. I media blasted it first, tried it out, looked too overkill, and then sent it out for black.

Thanks for all the input, except the navy blue thing....... I take it you were joking? :wow:

You know Tyler I would never joke....I'll see you in the next few weeks when I pick up my windshield. I'm going to order my Kore 3 brakes at the same time.
