I went with the 5/16 studs on my rear end, Now I'm wondering what you guys are doing for lug studs are very long. Do you cut them down so you can fit a acorn type lug nut on there?
Thanks in advance.

5/16 stud?
Do you mean 7/16? or 9/16?

Typo alert!!!
Regardless of what size wheel stud you're running, if you want to run closed acorn style lug nuts instead of open nuts, you can shorten the wheel studs as necessary, just be prepared to rework the threads a little with a thread file or thread die after cutting. You can also thread a nut onto the stud prior to cutting so that it will somewhat chase the threads when you remove it.
It shouldn't be an issue with studs that are too long, however since you're cutting them, you'll want to make sure that after you cut the studs you still have at least 8-turns of thread engagement with the lug nut...actually, make sure you do that before you cut;) Any less than that and your threads are weaker than the stud intself, increasing the chance of stripping the nuts.

Your right typo, Thanks for the advice. putting a nut on before cutting I was thinking of doing it.. There a pain in the ass fixing the ends if you dont..
