Been watching this one for a couple months. Laguna Seca is usually around $300 or more for a track day, but Dec 30-31 can be had thru NCRC for $179 per day. I am registered for Sat Dec 31 and cannot wait.

Plenty of spots in Open and Point-By, but there are less than 10 spots for Solo (1-7 track days experience) so I registered now.

Would love to have some fellow muscle join me.

That's a smoking deal for Laguna Seca.
Wish it wasn't a 1330 mile round trip. :(

Yeah it's a great deal for sure.... and that would be a long haul for a track day!

Hope I can keep it under the 92 db max. :_paranoid

Think about bro.... After blacking out and falling down my stairs last New Years Eve, I think a nice easy track day is a better idea this year.

 I've stayed home the last two years and brought the new year in without a hangover.

Drivers Meeting: We ask that you use lite throttle ascending the hill out of turn 5 past the sound check station on your right..................sure, no problem. Once on the track............WTF! That's not really possible! It's a F'ing race track! :D

One trick is to tack some exhaust tips on that exit to the left.

Can't make it to this one, but I'll have my eyes peeled for a January event somewhere.

I talked to a guy who said his bone stock 07 Z06 was exceeding 92db there...

Screw that horse ####, it's a free country. I'd rather go someplace where I can use the loud pedal at will.

Thunderhill! PIN IT through 8 and up to 9a, after cresting 9b pin it down the hill. :woot: :woot:

At least it's only one section of Laguna, but it is pure BS.

I hear ya guys, but I have and continue to hear mixed messages... all from people who have actually run on the track... maybe it just depends on the day you go? Hell I dunno.... but for this price, I think it's worth it to drive this world famous track at least once! :lateral:

I have run my Subaru STI uncorked there over 7 times and never got the meatball flag (sound flag) even once. Its about a 75yard section out of turn 5 that you need to be a little light on the foot, but your hitting turn 6 under the bridge and it has quite a dip in it. Going more than 85 through there is a challenge with out bottoming out. It will all work out.

Even if you get flagged you have the opportunity to fix the problem. Up to 3 tries before they kick your loud a$$ off the track.

One of the most famous venues in all of racing. Its worth it!:woot:

I'm eyeing the Nov 14 day at Thunderhill as well. $125

Without a doubt it's worth it if you've never experienced the track. I've watched so many races over the years there on TV and to finally experience it in person was cherished memorabilia. Now when I watch races there I really appreciate the size of the drivers/riders appendages. :D

If it was closer and my car had real brakes it I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Go for it! T-Hill too!

I just went there recently for the first time and after seeing in in person twice it is just a whole different track experience. I love any track so far but this facility is just another level. The elevation changes are unreal in person.
