In the market for a C6 subframe since I already have the arms, brakes and spindles. I have priced about all of the different C6 frames available. Does anyone have first hand knowledge about Jake's subframe? I can't find much information about them recently. If I had the cash it would be AME but that's more than I want to spend.

Thanks!

I have one sitting in my garage waiting to go into a car. I unfortunately cannot comment on the ride/performance characteristics yet, but I can comment on the build quality. Very impressive! I had some extensive conversations with Jake before my purchase, and he answered all of my questions with as much detail as I asked for. He knows his stuff, and he proves it with his own racecar built around the same components that he sells.

Good luck with your choice...

Since you have the components, you should check out Scott Mock's C6 subframe he sells. Scott does very nice work and is a good guy.

I also have one in my garage. Quality seems excellent, but I haven't assembled it yet. There is a car going to OUSCI using the JRS setup (Vinnie's car I think). I can't wait to see how it performs. He hasn't been racing long yet was able to win an auto-x and invitation. From a performance standpoint, that should say alot.

Sounds like everyone with the Apex frame still has their car apart. I am going to give them a call and talk with them about it. May be buying one soon, if so the car should be done pretty quick.

Jay,
All I can say is been there done that. Didn't work out.

Thanks

My $.02 is that Scott Mock is one hell of a good fabricator and I have personal experience with his subframe. I would buy his stuff anyday. Plus he very honest and easy to work with.

Just to clear a few things up, Jake no longer sells these frames or any rear suspension. The new owners of the business have not made it public yet but they will be back better and with faster shipping times. I do have a frame and a torque arm and the performance speaks for itself. I've never competed in autocross and made the shootout at Scottsdale in my first year. Finished top 15 in autocross at LS Fest in 2015 also.

If anyone wants the info feel free to PM me.
