Like I said on the other board.. I would be ALL OVER this car.. It has a great parts list and looks well put together. As a bonus I really like the color.

If you wanted to give it a personalized touch you could add on some sort of graphics or such. A smoked silver hockey stripe would look killer. You couldn't build that car for $70k..

clill and steve69LS1,

Thanks for the referral. That car is bitchin. But, I am really wanting a 69. I have had a few 67's and a 68 (none that nice) and would like to get a 69. Someone out there has to have a nice 69 that they are willing to sell!!!! At least I hope so.

Chris,

Didn't you have a red 67 PT style car w/ black bumblebee stripe? I remember reading a Camaro Performers mag awhile back and your name sounded familiar.

Good luck with the search!

That car is quite nice- I love that color! That's exactly what I want to paint my 67. Tasty car, indeed. I bet it'll hit $65K+

Andrew,

Yea, a few years back I built a red 67 with my daughter. It was a nice car, not as nice as the blue one currently on eBay but nice. Still hoping to find a nice 69 for sale....

Wanted to provide an update on my search for a pro-touring Camaro. I purchased a 68 RS/SS (I know, I said I wanted a 69 but I had little luck finding a nice one I could afford and this 68 has most of the stuff I wanted) from a dealer in KS. It has a 406ci. with Dart heads, etc. It was just rotisserie restored and comes with lots of cool features including Vintage a/c, Tic-Tok tach, gauge package, 18 Torque Thrust wheels, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, Ididit tilt column, etc. Suspension wise it has Hotchkis rear leafs, Hotchkis front springs, drop spindles and Hotchkis sway bars. The car is more of a show car than a track car but I suppose I am more of a show car guy than a track car guy. The picture attached is of the car being loaded into the transport this morning. At any rate, many thanks to all who either replied to my posting and\or shot me an email with car suggestions.

Rybar,

I was in planning to buy the light blue 67 on eBay. Dan and I had agreed to a price, 65k, and then he recived a call from the owner of TRM Classic Cars (a friend of his) who had wanted the car weeks ago and he sold it to him for 67k on Tuesday. I had not sent money but I had a cashiers check. Dan was cool about it but it was at the 23rd hour. At any rate, I am sure I will be happy with the yellow 68.

Your yellow car looks to be real nice. Thanks for sharing the story, it's nice to see what the real value of these cars can bring. That blue '67 is definately one of the nicest ones I have ever seen.
