Most of you have already seen probably more than you want of my project, however a site member kind of pointed out that I've not posted much background of the car on this site. It is WELL documented over on PT. Anyway, I'll just post some random kind of pics here so those who are blissfully unaware of it can take a look.

Otherwise, see you guys at RTTH.

As delivered, end of May 2008

This colour is awesome!

Agree - what is the color custom or available off the shelf?

I know Bill will appreciate all the kind comments. He is a friend and I can tell you he has had other things going on. At the end of last year he got a new job and has been devoting a huge amount of time to it. If you can't tell by his car when he does something he does it right. I talked to him recently and I think he will be getting back in the garage soon and hopefully back on here. It's crazy how life can interrupt our fun!

Bill's a great guy, if memory serves me correct, its a 4 stage custom paint job. He drives the every living sh*t out of it, and it does everything well!! :hail:

Hey guys - long time. Thanks for the very kind words!!!!

I haven't been active for a bunch of reasons - Chad knows what's going on. All kinds of chaos in my life that has forced me to focus on some other things for a while. Lots of stress. The car is fine, however. Took it out a couple weekends ago for a couple hours.

The paint is a 3 stage we turned into a 4 stage. After body work and prime, based it black. Then the next 3 stages are all part of the PPG "Cabernet Tri Coat" setup. It's more or less a candy kind of setup, except instead of silver or gold base, it's a combination of multiple reds.

You can do the color "off the shelf". Be aware - it's friggin ridiculous expensive for materials. And it's hard to lay down, and it's hard to touch up. It fits this car, but I won't use it again. Not for a driving car.

Matt - miss getting together with you guys. You talked to Randy Bell lately?
