Welcome! That is a REALLY clean garage! Nice progress on the project so far.
I have several relatives in Sweden, they come over here for SEMA every year and LOAD UP on parts. They stuff extra suitcases full and check them in. its cheaper than the shipping I guess.
I am looking forward to your build. What are the overall plans? Engine, suspension, brakes?
Nice work on the grill and lower valance! How did you delete the light holes in the grill?

Hehe, yeah when there´s an opportunity to stack up on parts without the swedish customs "interfering", You take it!
I´ve got the complete TCI front and rear end. Willwood brakes (11" cause of 15" wheels) Engine etc is not decided yet.

Looks really good! Another member here just put that sub frame in a 69 camaro. Its a nice looking piece, I was able to see it in person installed.
Are you going to be using the car as a race car? Street/track both?
How did you delete the lights in the grill? It turned out really nice. Kind of cleans up the whole front end.

I like the front and rear clip so far. Nice welds and nice fit. The car is mainly a track car so there´s not gonna be any upholstery, audio system or such. Will try make it street legal though.
I edited my previous post - there´s your answer regarding the front grille...

The front fenders on this build is the first sheet metal work for me. They were in such a bad shape I figured I might as well have a go with them. Bought some hammers and dollys etc and got started.
Anyway, thanks! :)

My pleasure!
I live in the middle of Sweden - approx 100 miles north of Stockholm. Never been to Umea though. Never visited the States either. A must before I´m three feet under! Cruise/cruising isn´t my cup of tea really, but I´ve been on power tours in southern Sweden and some track days.

Got any pics of the mods you would of had to make (since it's tubbed) to the TCI rear torque arm mounts for the two link brackets?
EDIT: Nice build!!

My bad! But...
We end up about the same depth anyway, cause here in Sweden we´re not so big around the waist... :unibrow:

EDIT: Nice build!!
Will check later if I have any pics. Should have at least of the front brackets. I cut those almost in half, leaving just the front of it and welded that to the tubing (new frame rails). Rear brackets, coil over cross member, I made almost completely from scratch. Don´t have any pictures of that but will take some next time the car is on jacks.
Thanks!

Those wheels and tires are borrowed, but the size is gonna be about the same. 15x12" in the back and 15x8" in the front. 10" wide in front would have been nice, but that would only be possible with 18" wheels though.
Thank you!

Love what you'be been doing with the Camaro, and really like the fact that you've stuck with Rally wheels as they really look cool on there. Did you have the rears widened? Also like your work on the front lighting conversion as well as your choice in the Webers. Very very nice.
By the way, it`s nice seeing how clean you keep that shop floor when you`re taking pictures. :unibrow:

Thanks! Those wheels are borrowed but the ones I ordered are the same size. Took steel wheels now. They'll do through the build and they give me a chance to correct backspacing if necessary when ordering magnesium wheels in the future... =)
I always clean the floor at the end of the day. That's also a good time to take some photos ;)
Thanks again!

That is exact why i ask. I am in the same boat. 28 in the back fill the wheelhouse pretty good, but 26 look a little small especially in a Nova with the more square shape. I limited to 17" rims and don't want to go with truck tires when going up to 28"... The wheels in your Camaro look perfect. Outstanding build  !

I´ve been looking at so many tires from different manufacturers, that I remembered wrong regarding sizes. These are the correct ones (that will be mounted):
Rear: 27.5x11-15"
Front: 26,5x9.5-15"

I was about to get epoxy for my floor, but was advised not to. The concrete floor needs to breathe, especially when it´s on the ground (no basement or story beneath). So I went with tiles instead.

What are your intentions for final finish or is that still evolving?
It looks so cool in that last picture with the van, tires all fat filling the wheelwells and the car being slightly short, squat and low... maybe a bit of lens distortion? It is almost a caricature or cartoon effect, but I really like it. Completely raw. Thank you for sharing your work.

Yes, it's a little lens distortion. I was thinking a two tone - black on top and brown on the sides. "Inverted Yunick" =)

Had to abandon the weber setup. Got hold of All Pro cylinder heads (cnc) with titanium valves. Raised intake runners didn´t match my weber intake. Hi,
Great car .. great engine .. great TLC job reviving ... Great Garage !... and your talent is second to none...
Oh... Webers set-up! I have a friend who was going with that kind of set up too, however .. he discarded after found out that Webers were a real pain to keep up.
I love those Webers too, as Alfa Romeo, my previous love, were much more into Webers. You need to have specific vacuum gauges to measure the effecticeness / fine tuning.
For fun , I built these meters to handle 6 Webers in a Countach V12, It was a real headache !

I had Dellortos on my prevoius build. Was some jetting and tuning, but I've never had a smoother running engine with mechanic roller. The Webers should be a little easier because there are still parts available for those carbs unlike Dellortos.
Although, as mentioned, I'm not gonna use the Weber setup on this engine. Intake don't match the heads.

Not much has happened. Everything that could go wrong with the engine, has. Half of the lifters had the wrong offset. Wrong cam bearings despite support from Dart before ordering, bearing failure on one rocker, wrong camshaft, wrong crankshaft...and the list goes on. Most issues are taken care of, but still waiting for custom made camshaft.
Brakes are almost completely done. Been some issues with clearance and rear calipers but everything is ok now.
Don't have that many pics but will post some when I've access to them...

Thanks!
It´s not only on this site its against the grain - brakes, steering etc is dimensioned for bigger rims. So it has been a struggle all the way just to keep it "old school". Hopefully it will be worth it!
