There are currently a lot of families who will be needing support in the upcoming weeks, months and years. The Navy SEAL Foundation is an organization who looks after familys and wounded warriors. The Navy SEAL Foundation and NSW Foundation have recently combined forces to raise money to support the cause. The NSW Foundation is run mostly by retired SEALs and families.
Navy SEAL Foundation's Mission:
"Our mission was not created by war, but it has been made more important and more difficult as a result of it.
Established to serve U.S. Navy SEALs, Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen, Naval Special Warfare (NSW) support personnel, and their families, the Navy SEAL Foundation offers critical support to Naval Special Warfare commands, active-duty personnel, their families, and veterans of NSW. As the duration and frequency of training and operational deployments continue, and the stress on the families and operators grows, this important community requires support today more than ever."
"The Navy SEAL Foundation is integral in providing support to NSW families so that our active duty operators can focus on their training and deployment with a greater sense of ease knowing that their loved ones have a dedicated and caring support network behind them. In event of the ultimate sacrifice, the Navy SEAL Foundation quickly turns its primary attention towards helping the families of the fallen or wounded SEAL, SWCC, or other operator. With mutual support, bereavement resources, and reception events, our goal is to assist in rebuilding lives."
I know there are people out there who would like to help, I figured this would be a way help get the ball rolling.

Thank you, I had a good friend on the Helo that went down, every little bit help and it means a lot to the community.
The way I see it, your friend and those with him gave everything for all of us. I am happy to contribute and help support them, even after they are gone.
I am actually surprised that this thread hasn't gotten more attention. I hope everyone is just being silent about their support.

Another event that is going on Nation wide to honor the Fallen from the Helo crash on August 6th http://31heroes.com/
It will be a nation wide crossfit workout of the day. If you are into working out or know someone who is it should be a good time( if you enjoy puking). I havent seen what the workout will be yet, Im sure it will hurt a great deal.

I agree with Curtis. These guys do alot more than we wold ever know and to support them is very easy. Even being in the military and knowing what they go through is easy for me to want to be apart of this.

Read that on the plane to sema last year. Good book.
There was a book in the early 90's about either the I believe Delta (or Seals) in Iraq, that had a similar moral dilemma as pertaining to the local shepards.
Difference, There were scud hunting but were not compromised by the cow herder.

Lone Survivor is an amazing story. If anyone is interested in a great read about our countries elite, I would highly suggest "Horse Soldiers". Very humbling to say the least.
We have lost so many good men, many from the SEAL community. I sincerely hope people will support the Navy SEAL Foundation. They do a great deal to support the families of those who gave it all for us.

I'm not sure how I missed this thread, but ironic that I found it today, on Memorial Day.
Never forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States of America.

Here's a good link to put the faces to the names. It starts from the most recent and goes back to the beginning of our current war.

I am a huge supporter of our countries warriors and I do whatever I can to stand behind them, even after they are gone. I've had the pleasure of knowing Vets from WWII to the present. Great people, each and everyone. When John first started this thread to show his support for his friend, I thought "sure I'll donate" to that. Now, I've taken The Navy SEAL Foundation on as my own and do whatever I can to support them. I hope that all of you will show our Vets support in one way or another.

I'm a new memeber and I'm so impressed with the great level of talent and most importantly the comradery that exist within this group. This thread is just another great example of just that. Thank you John for getting this started and Curtis for keeping it going. This is a great cause and one that we should all be proud to support.
