A buddy found a 69 SS 350 300HP X11 all original car for me. It is a high option car and has all original parts on it. The pait is Rallye Green #79 with a parchment vinyl top. The engine has been rebuilt but has original engine and tranny. Has original cowl working hood, interior is white 727 and perfect, electric windows, cruise control, air conditioning. It does have 12 bolt, front power disk brakes, bumper guards front and back, tilt wheel, guage cluster. Engine compartment is really solid. Everything is functional on it. The guy bought it in South Dakota last fall. The guy is asking 34500 for it. He doesnt have the build sheet on it but it is a friend of a friend who has 6 vettes and a couple other camaros so he definately is a car guy. What other questions should I ask him? Is it worth 34K

I knew you were looking for a Z-28 and I made a few calls here in Charlotte. I am waiting to here back if the Z-28 is still for sale. I will let you know.

As far as the other car...not sure

Green car is not vey nice. Lots of stuff wrong for a stock type car. Cheesy wrong trim rings, deluxe seat covers but standard interior door panels. Headrests have the cheesy covers on them, underneath looks like green overspray and then cleaned up with black rattlecan. Replacement leaf springs, cowl hood rubber seal installed inside out, incorrect tail pipes. I'm sure that there is more that we don't see. There are better cars for that kind of money.

There were a lot of x-11 code cars built that were not an SS. Mine is a x-11 code car built in Norwood and it is not an SS...high option coupe with style trim.

Keep looking

A true SS 350 would be an X55 car.

There is no specific X-code for the SS350. X11 could mean SS350 with Style Trim or a base Camaro with Style Trim. A '69 SS required at least power front disc brakes. Also be sure to check out our FAQ section about SS's. The X11 code is the only exception to identifying a true '69 SS Camaro because the code also means a plain Camaro

X11" on trim tag on 1969's only 350 SS only but a big NO for a big block SS YES! not all "X11's" were SS's. Check the engine. If not original then assume the "X11" was for a base Camaro. Not easily added but check VIN to make sure it was a V8 because trim tags are getting swapped out. Also have seen people selling reproduced trim tags so watch out.

Also required 12 bolt rear.

To be an SS with an x-11 code it must have been built in Norwood, shown on tag, and has to have the numbers matching 350 to be sure.

My x-11, norwood built car was a v-8...327 v-8 with a powerglide.

If looking to buy one as an investment make sure it has the correct paper work...Protect-o-plate is the best.

All X55s are SS350s, but not all SS350s are X55s. Many X11s are SS350s, as stated above, with style trim. Also, only X11s can be RS / SS 350s as RS requires style trim.

I learn something new everyday. That would definitely make it harder to authenticate.
