Which looks better?

I have been thinking about powder coating the wheels on the Ironworks hauler to a flat black. Not for the rat rod vintage look, but for that smoothie wheel old school look. I was going to leave the caps and lug covers Chrome. I found a set of steel wheel that I could weld up the punched holes in the wheels and create a real smoothie in an almost flat black. I would also do the steps and some of the trim in the same black.

Or should I just leave it alone.

Black with orange or silver pinstripe ,also black headlight bezels,bumper,side steps and anything that's chrome.Better yet, do the whole truck black with smoked lights to complete the package

I like both looks, but I voted to leave them chrome. They do stand out a bit more and look great & shiny when all clean!

I like both! Most cost effective is to leave them chrome and the easiest to keep clean is to powder coat them! :thumbsup:

If I powder coated it, I'd leave the outer lip chrome, or as mentioned add something to break it up some. The chrome kind of works with the silver on the body IMO.

I already know what I want, and I would have done it either way or I won't sleep at night. But the split has made me thinking I might wait a little while till I do it.

Why not painting the whole thing in black primer, with hot rod flames, black wheels with whitewall tires, and put some stacks coming out the hood.
