Hey guys - does the right fender have to come off a first gen F body to access the blower motor?

We will be going to a Vintage Air - but for now need to slip the heater box back in. Front fenders, hood - etc are on - but we left the firewall blank for this reason.

I can't get the blower box with the blower motor to fit in. I haven't yet tried taking the blower motor off - but none the less it doesn't look promising.

Been there done it stories????????

I really don't think it is possible at all. I have a 69 camaro apart right now and don't see how you can reach the bolts with the fenders on.

You will need access so you can install the cover plate so you might as well remove the fender. Make sure you use lots of tape on the edges for protection. Cheaper than paint.

Another tip is to bag and note all the bolts so you know where they go and make sure you tape the shims and note where they came from.

You can successfully do this by either removing the inner fender or loosen the fender and gentley pull it from the bottom to gain access.

remove inner fender or pull fender completely.

Inner fender method worked for me, but that thing was a pain getting back on and positioned properly. If I had to do again, I'd loosen the front clip, much easier imho than pulling the inner fender, just need to get one passenger's side fender loose enough to get at the hidden bolts.
