Thinking about having Clear Bra put on my car. Does anyone regret using this stuff? How far up did you go? Can you take it back off without hurting the paint?

As long as the paint was done right, it should come off without hurting it.It's cheaper than a new paint job and works great on rockers and lower quarters.

I have the entire front of the R8 done with 3M... there's no way you can tell it's on there... and so far it's doing it's job protecting the paint.
Since the entire hood and front fenders are covered - there is no issue with the "line" that can appear where the stuff ends.

I wish I would have done this when I got my camaro painted. I have numerous small rockchips behind my wheel openings that can't really be fixed without repainting the whole car. next time definitely will be done.

I used it on my 32 Roadster and it worked great! I know Steve used it on Penny and he's happy with it too. I plan on using it on the rockers and front of my Nova after it's painted.

I have it on every car I own, even my motorhome and trailers! I have it on my track cars and it protects them well.

I had a 3M bra on my Lexus IS350 for about 4-5 years, then it started to cloud a little bit where it was too visible so I took it off. I will say, I never got any rock chips, etc with it (obviously) and have had the bra off for just over a year and have MANY already. Id say if you get a quality kit (such as 3M), its worth it.

Can this stuff be used on the bottom side of a PAINTED car or is it worth using it in this area?

I know there is a seam that you can see but is there any difference in the shine between the paint and the part that has clear bra installed?

If you think that area is prone to chipping, than it's worth it.You can use it anywhere.

If the paint has been wetsanded and buffed to a slick finish, you willl see slight difference, the surface has slight texture , it blends well with factory paint with orangepeel, not as well with slicked out paint

Agreed, mine has orange peel.
