Hi I got mine from mashing up "Procharged Camaro".............In the UK "bird" is slang for woman/girl and "dirty" is slang for loose or slack. I mean no dis respect. But when we "Brits" see "Dirty Bird" we read something other than I think you intended.

MY user name is from when I was 17, they're we're two exact copy 69 Z/28's in the city Red w/Black stripes. I had one and a guy who lived 1 block away from me had the other one. We we're the same build had the same color and length hair. They called him Tony Z and I was Waynie Z. I don't understand it every time someone saw me racing, The standard reply was, IT MUST HAVE BEEN TONY!. He got me in all kind of trouble :unibrow:
I have another user name on other sites Motown 454 because of the power I'm using for my Camaro
And on for non car related sites. Shureshot That one I got from my wifes GYN We we're married 2 yrs but wanted to wait to have children and she was on the pill I was with her when the doc said she was pregnant. I said I thought they we're 99.99% safe. He said Well hello mister .01 I guess we can call you Sureshot now. So I used to say I'm good with my pistol and I don.t shoot blanks!

I have had my 69 Cougar since I was 16, and we have been though a lot together. At one point in the late 80's/early 90's while I was working at a Speed Shop in Seattle, I was talking to a co-worker about how difficult it was to keep track of parts and pieces while the car was apart. I had just moved for the second time while I had it disassembled, and was whining, no doubt. My friend said "what a nightmare, it's like Freddy Krueger or something....Hey! Its Freddy Cougar!" and it stuck....I hate naming cars, my mother has a name for all 6 or 7 of hers, but I am stuck with that one.
69MyWay

I got my screen name from Rad Rambler - ages ago. He always said he wanted a personal tag for his car that said 69MyWay - It just kind of stuck with me and when I was building my 69 Vette I borrowed the idea and ran with it. Since then and after I've owned several 1969 models - so it just works.
I've been called a lot of names that I shouldn't re print here. But my screen name only came about because I am just not very creative.

My Dad and I started racing Stock cars about the time I got my first email account years ago. We called ourselves C&C Racing. Back in the early days of dial up etc. there were some pretty strict rules on user names. Length, characters, etc. So C&C Racing became CCRACIN and it has stuck ever since.

Garage Dog 65
06-30-2011, 12:42 PM
Garage Dog - picked it up after talking to Smokey Yunick at Indy one year while I was in high school (you might know the story about his beloved hounds - Junk Yard being with him at the track that year). I had noticed that every hot rod, race shop, body shop, fab shop and garage that I went to had 1 or several dogs that were always there hanging around, checking out what was going on and always had a great attitude with tail wagging - no matter how bad the project or day was going.
I also really enjoy going to different shops and garages to meet people and see what they are doing and learn new stuff - and I'm always amazed at how open, friendly and helpful everyone is, and how close knit of a community there is in this industry/sport/hobby. I've always been the most comfortable in a shop or garage environment and greatly enjoy the time spent there. (especially with Heat, Stereo, Cable TV and a Fridge !)
65 is just because someone had the base name -- so I threw 65 on the end for my 65 Porsche 356G project.
Lat-G is like a virtual garage to me with a bunch of really cool builds, cars and great people. It's very comfortable here !! Jim

I bought a C4 corvette in high school and came up with the name joking among my friends for liscence plate ideas. (C4, explosive = xplosiv, get it?). Then my c4 ended up getting stolen and wrecked.

I chose my handle from my Project Car's name, and because I work with explosives in my career. See my project build for a few other associations between the car and the project name.
I bought a C4 corvette in high school and came up with the name joking among my friends for liscence plate ideas. (C4, explosive = xplosiv, get it?). Then my c4 ended up getting stolen and wrecked.
Love this one, the play on words and Acronyms is AWESOME. Wish I would have thought of it myself.... Maybe that will need C4 Vette to be a future project, since I love the idea of explosives in my projects.
Just not sure how I'm going to do keep explosives in the name of the car with the next planned project, a 65 Volvo P1800.

High school....MANY years ago!! LOL!
Some of my friends slang of "smooth 69", also the tags on the car.
On the HAMB I am GONMAD, which are the 58's plates. Friends were wondering if I was crazy to buy a wagon without kids (at the time). Also fits with it being a Nomad.

Ketzer

Ketzer is German for heretic. I used to have several old VWs and they were not traditional. The VW camp is full of purists (a-holes) and they are very quick to judge. I love purists, like shooting fish in a barrel.

I had always wanted a Third-Gen Camaro since I was a kid. Growing up in the 80's and 90's had a great influence on that, but I couldn't afford the insurance back then. :_paranoid

Mines easy.
The "Dork" part is because my favorite car is my AMC (AMX)
The "Torque" part is because it has "Gobs" of Torque!
My "Jethro" Avatar is because I did my "Gazintas" when I built it!!
INTMD8
08-08-2012, 06:21 PM
When I was 19 I built a caged 70 Chevelle with a dual quad blown big block, slicks/skinnys/etc. It wasn't that fast (11.20's) but back in the day it would take care of most of the quicker cars in my area and tended to intimidate people. So, the license plate on the car was INTMD8 and therefore my screen name.
