I am about to order a T-56 Magnum kit from Hurst Drivelines... seen here:

I have a 69 Camaro with a 700R4 auto tranny (and console)... so I know I am going to be needing the Elite kit. Im just curious as to what optional components I am still going to need with it.

I have a GM crate 350 right now (330hp/380tq), but the reason I am going with a T56 Mag is bc I plan on dropping in a 468 or 496 here in a yr or so (500-600 rwhp).

Looks like I am going to need the SFI scattershield and obviously the pedal kit... but anything else? I see the Elite kit only comes with the clutch kit up to 500 hp, so Im guessing I should go ahead and upgrade to the Strip Comp (625 hp rating) or the Racer Comp (700 hp rating)? What are the advantage of sticking with mechanical linkage? Hydraulic clutch kit? Anything I should just order separate from somewhere else?

Thanks guys... hoping to order here in the next day or two, so quick responses are appreciated!!!

Those guys over at Hurst Driveline are phenominal. Whatever else you need, they definately can supply you with it. Also, their tech support is a cut above the rest. I have never dealt with them personally, but I know several guys who have. There are many guys on here have also used them and can vouch for them too.

Agreed, their tech service is top notch. Get a hold of Jim Goodlad, he will not lead you wrong. I just received my trans from them a week ago. In addition to the T-56 I got the scattershield, the RST Twin clutch, the trans tunnel patch, the slip yoke, the flywheel, the pedals, the hydraulic clutch kit, and the shift stick. I did not get the driveshaft.

Talked with Jim a few times... did a little research and ended up going with the elite kit with some supporting mods. Jim is top notch and answered ALL my questions and had plenty of advice as well. Great experience with Hurst Drivelines so far... hope to get the tranny in over the next month!

Thanks for the help guys!
