CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, I am helping a friend try to sell the car it is located in Sarasota FL

**1965 Oldsmobile 442**Pro Tour-NICE-A Must see!OBO

The guy drives this around all the time and says it actually rides like a newer car and is very smooth...The pics will do this car no justice...The car started off as a true 1965 442,it was upgraded with a new rebuilt 455 High Performance Engine,Custom interior, custom paint and ice cold A/C..This car now drives like a dream. The 455 came out of a 68 olds and its all rebuilt close to stock minus a small cam, some head work and a nice intake and carb and some chrome..The paint is a custom pearl color from nissan that the paint cost alone was $3,000 minus the painter, thats all i know..Its very nice and it was a rust free car to start with..Its all around amazing...The cars inside was done by Hoyt's Upholstry and cost well over $5,000 to do and its just amazing and really comfortable inside, its more up to date but still old school, newer autometer gauges, new ice cold a/c with heat with all electrical controls, new up to date stereo with great sound , its a real nice car that drives like a new car..

Sorry guys I forgot to post price asking $27k obo

Shoot me an email if interested

This is a must see and this guy is ready to sell, make a offer!!

I can't buy any more cars, but it would be helpful to understand the ball park expectation of the guy selling. I've got a couple friends who you never know what they'll do but without a ball park price they won't have any interest.

Nice car, and good luck with the sale. I would post a price though, to me that is a $9,000 car, and im in the market for a new putter, don't know what he is expecting to get from that car and I wouldn't want to offend him.

Radlark, forum rules state no ads without price. Good luck with the sale.

Well......I would normally come back with some smart remark regarding price suggestions and what YOU may think the car is worth........but hey, I was only asked to help out a friend and I told him I would post it for him. So I will not clutter up the thread with cynical remarks or comebacks, again I was asked to help out a friend and post for him if this is not your cup of tea I can understand that and I wish you good luck with looking for your next project!

Feel free to make him an offer I can give you his direct contact information, every one has to start somewhere

Rad,

I apologize. I was referring to Slo Z28's comment saying he thought it was worth 9 grand. I was saying it is definitely worth MORE than 9 grand...closer to the asking than 9 grand. Sorry 4 the confusion. I have a 66 Cutlass and I'm a huge fan of 442s.

No Lee I understand I have seen your 442 and it is NICE, like I said he is a motivated seller I am not that versed in the value of 442 so that is why I posted it here and if any one wants to contact the seller directly I will forward the info I am only the messenger lol.

You may also want to post it on classicoldsmobile.com. I think it will garner a lot more interest there.

I didnt mean to offend, and I didnt pull that number out of thin air(I have 2 books, one is more accurate and lists a #2 car at a selling point of 14,000). Ive actually located a very nice car, very much like this, for under 15, so the search is over. This is why you should state an asking price from the get go.

Good luck with the sale.
