EBMC in northern Ca. is seeking an experienced technician to join our team in our mechanical dept. Must be very familiar with engine mechanical, suspension geometry and plumbing of automotive hydraulics. Electrical knowlege a must! expected to be able to understand all phases of electrical systems and be able to wire a complete car with aftermarket equipment to very high standards. Must be very detail oriented and cautious working on and around high end custom cars. The shop is well equiped, light and clean. Medical package, paid vacation and paid major holidays after 90 days, four ten workweek with weekends off. Somewhere I got the bright idea to hire some one different then a high school student to sweep the floors. I went to what we have here called BARC (Bakersfield Association for Retarded Citizens). Through that program we found a 58 year old cleaning machine named DJ. That guy can clean like no other we have ever had. Our Roll up doors are spotless. The area around the dumpster is spotless. I have him deburr cut parts for our chassis production line. Plus he keeps the Hauler clean on the inside. Just because he has a dedicated position and the time and the patience to be able to clean like he does, my shop looks 10 times cleaner then with the high school student after school or spare time when the guys in the shop do their part.

He is not the fastest guy on the planet, but he probably has the best attitude or anybody in the shop.

I have had him scrapping old Dynamat out from the floor of a car we are supposed to mini tub in today. He came in with a smile ready to get that old Dynamat out of the car.

Totally not politically correct and I'm sorry but it is true.

I would love to go back to some of the High School slackers that thought having to work here was so bad and tell they got out worked but a Retard.

have you thought about poaching skill on a part time basis? I know my friend lives out there and was looking for a part time gig for extra cash, he is probably expensive though.

For someone who wants to get into the thick of incredible Builds and to work with killer cars that us customers are throwing Dough at...Steve's shop is the best around this area , for sure...

Only Muscle cars, and always specialty parts...No tune up and Oil change shop...

Crazy Builds...Mine was mild...
