Several months ago, I contacted Tyler who owns HPI Customs to see if he could possibly donate a custom made billet gauge pod to my Police Tribute Car. He gladly said yes and would love to support this cause. I knew after reading several threads from him and a few phone calls the he was extremly busy with a growing business, relocating a business, filling several orders for a new product, trying to complete work from his "paying" customers and on top of all that just had his first child.
After several months and a few phone calls, I emailed Tyler to ask if he would ever be able to make this part. I wanted to let him know that it was cool if he could not do this for me, since afterall it was a donation. I guess the way I wrote the email, it sounded like I was frusterated but I was not. Anyway, Tyler immediatley emailed me back explaining everything that he and his business has gone through in the last few months, he apologized if I had a bad customer experience and still offered to make the gauge bezel for me. He also asked if there was anything else he could do to make up for the long time it has taken. I told Tyler no apology was necessary as I believe "paying" customers should always come first. In fact, I don't even consider myself a customer.
I thought it was very honorable they way Tyler responded to me and took time out of his busy day to explain everything to me even though I felt it was not necessary. Tyler is a class act who truly cares about his business and his customers. I commend you Tyler for for not only being an assest to the hobby but to lateral-g and its members. And once again thank you for the support of my project.
