Hey everyone, a few weeks ago I was asked to be a regular contributer to a new Seattle "lifestyle" site. They were looking for someone who could write stories about cars and motorcycle, and I was recommended to the editor and he gave me a shot. Here is the first part of my fist submission, he broke it into 2 parts since it was 1500 words and they were only looking for 500-750...oops

Please give it a read if you have time and feel free to comment and "like" it on facebook as well. It's a new site and could use all the support it can get.

The picture is of my car and was taken by a friend of mine during a photo shoot we did at my house, in case you're wondering. Also, look for more stories about motorcycles, my Camaro and my sisters 2nd gen too.

Thanks for all your support,

Robert

thanks Ron! there will definitely be more to come.

I'm not a write by trade so this is so weird for me to see my story in "print"

Congrats on getting that out there! I also live in the Seattle area and I remember very well cruising Renton, Kirkland (Lk Wa Blvd) and several other areas.
Your story brought back a ton of memories. Thanks!

Thanks for checking it out 70rs. I grew up in Juanita so I spent the better part of my teens and 20's in Kirkland and Renton, had a blast doing it. Glad to hear the story brought back memories for you, i've had a few people say that to me which I think it great!

The second installment may come out next week, that's when i get into my sisters 1973 Camaro so stay tuned!

Robert

I also grew up on the eastside.
520 floating bridge, 3am, 16 years old, 120mph westbound (radar confirmed lol!) In my buddies 79 camaro.......not a good thing.

Lake Wa blvd in the summer, cruising all the beaches between Kirkland & Bellevue....the good old days.
