Wizard Racing brought Eric's 1969 Camaro to my shop for a set of stainless headers. Its an all aluminum RHS block, All Pro heads, F1R Procharger...ect. This thing is going to be a beast! Should be hitting the track soon.

Thanks

That's gonna be a beast for sure! Couple questions - whose header flange is that and do the header tubes terminate into a muffler instead of a collector?

SPD header flange. The header does terminate into the muffler. Thats the way they wanted it. It was very difficult to route the tubes smoothly because of where the muffler needed to be placed in the car. Its a 25.3 cert, so I had the tranny crossmember to deal with, as well as, other tubes.

Thanks

Thought so. SPD flanges have that nice bevel. And that muffler thing -- ncie job on making it removable. Seems like it would've been easier to shorten the tubes and go collector -> muffler, but you're the pro so I'm sure that was the best way. Love your work and thx for posting!

Believe me, that would've been my choice to use a slip on style collector to a very small muffler, but this is how he wanted it. Overall, it worked out fine. Thanks for the compliment!

Beautiful! Love that Tig welding on those big tubed headers. That whole combo looks Spen$ive, but I like it!

Thanks man! Yeah, this engine is not cheap. Kurt Urban built it.

Hopefully, in a few weeks I will have an animal that I have to do stainless headers on. This thing is going to be nuts! Lets just say it will make 3,000hp pretty easy.;)

Holy crap, just noticed you're over in Lincoln. I'm up here in Yuba City, is there a specific class that you're shootin' for, PSCA/NMCA/WCHRA, etc.? A buddy is doin' an LSx-powered '72 Nova, ~400cid, V-27 YSi Vortech, All-Pro "Cheater" heads (?), PG trans'. He's aimin' at X275 in the Pacific Street Car Association. I told him, "Be ready", there's some serious hardware out there that he's not prepared for. Awesome build on your end, would like to check that thing out in person. Does the Rocklin Jasper's Hamburgers cruise-in still happen on Thursday nights (even though it "officially" doesn't)?
My own build is scheduled to begin in about 6-8 months, I'm plannin' on competing in Hot Rod's Drag Week 2013, Small Block Power Adder class (with a stick!)

Eric is racing in both PSCA and WCHRA. My shop is actually in Roseville(bigheadcars.com). Drag Week is really cool deal. Post pics of your ride when you get started on it.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
