Hey guys, I'm just curious if I were to run 18x10.5 wheels and 295/35/18 tires in the front and the back, would that change the performance of the vehicle? Also, would that make the car look strange? By the way, I'm building a 69 camaro that I want to handle well for the street, not the strip.
Thank you

Very skateboard-ish. Ideally, for track cars, similar size front to rear helps, but for a street car, can look kinda funny, IMO, these cars need some stagger from front to rear to look quintessentially muscle car... but everyone likes what they like.

When you use a large wheel/tire combo on the front, anything over a 9.0, 9.5" wide wheel and wider than a 255 tire you'll get what's called tramlining.

This is when the front tire catches the ruts or groves in the road, mostly highway driving and makes the car difficult to control or steer.
Having a larger front tire/wheel combo is great for road racing, especially on large, heavy, high horsepower applications. With the larger rear tires like a 335 or 345 rear and allot of HP, the car is really going to push hard on the front tires, thus the bigger fronts with more grip will help this.
I prefer a 9.0" or 9.5" front with a 255 tire for street use in 18" or 19" sizes. The overall diameter is a good match with most of your larger rear tires. Take a look at the tire charts from the manufacturers and check the overall diameters of the tire sizes.
Hope this helps, good luck!
