What is largest width tire/wheel that I can run on a 67 camaro rear, without cutting the wheel wells?

The pros will jump in here I'm sure, but a 275 on a 9.5" rim, approx 5 - 5.5" bs is a good guideline. Measure for fitment, no matter what....

X2 but I would say more like 5.5-6" on a '67.

Should the backspacing really be around 5.5"?
Most 67-68's I have seen are running 5 1/4". I am getting ready to order a set of rims for my 68. Best bet is for me to get it measured first.

I have a '68 and am running 275's with a 5.5" b.s. No rubbing issues but would like to say that I'm using QA1 adjustable shocks to control travel. Have them set in the middle, which gives a nice ride and keeps the fenders away from the tires!
