I finished this car once about a year ago, and it came out looking like this. It has all the goodies underneath but just a daily driver kind of paint on it, so I was going to put a great quality paint job on it and decided to go a little farther with it. Looking to see what you guys think because I'm starting to have my doubts. This is what it looked like a year ago.

This is how it is today. The front fenders and rear quarters have been stretched. The drip rails, emblems, and body seams have been smoothed, and we have built a front spoiler on it as well. We still have to french in the tail lights, section the bumpers, and build a rear spoiler coming very soon. The color is going to be HOK Tangelo Pearl this time as well. Let me know what you think good or bad

Excellent job :hail:

One thing I recommend that would look Sick is a set of side skirts. Nothing crazy just like the Corvette ZR1 pieces

Personally dig the color choice and the concept of stretched fenders on a first gen. I think there's a right and wrong way to do it, and you can only tell by seeing the car in person; pics can skew proportions. A little 'fat' is good, exaggerated = bad. First time I saw it on a 69 @ Cris' shop I was blown away how good it looked.

Soooo....hard to tell from the pics, but looks good so far!

Edit: IMHO, side skirts would be too much. I also feel - from the pics- your front spoiler is too 'swoopy' in front of the tires. Much respect for all the hard work and artistry of your design and I'm only trying to give you an honest opinion.

Love to see the car in person. From what I can see in the pics it looks awesome! I think the skirts are a no go for me, but I also think you need the RS front end.

Keep posting!

No side skirts for me and I am going to do a rs grill or build a billet grill that will hide the headlights like the rs

I have been getting some pm sent asking about updates on the car so I shot a few pictures with my phone. Sorry for the delay but since my last update we have flush mounted the glass and extended the windshield pillars to smooth the trim gap, made the tail lights and rear bumper flush, added modern door handles, removed the wipers and smoothed that up, made the rear spoiler a little taller and made it flush to the trunk lid, and have also added the all steel stinger hood which is a miserable fit by the way. We have the sub-frame out of it right now and smoothing the firewall up so when that gets done I will take some better photos

I got a question for everyone out there. I was planning on painting this car Tangelo Pearl with some kind of black striping with the black and polished wheels with a black interior. I have recently went and talked to the interior shop and he really doesn't want to do a black interior because of loss of detail. He is wanting to put a tan interior in the car which I really like on a orange car as well. Do you think if I painted the car solid tangelo with black wheels and no striping that it would look good with the tan interior. I am stressed out over these color choices. I just can't see that combo working in my head. please give me your opinions

Hi,
I really love the way your fenders turned out, and I am thinking about something similar for my 67 Firebird. Could you describe how you accomplished the wide body fenders, or point me in a direction for ideas?
Thank you for your time!
Mike

The car looks great, just a little lite in the rear to me though. I think a rear diffuser would tie the whole thing together. Looks badass as is.

You need to put up a For Sale thread.
