Engine at 4* angled down at yoke, rearend pinion is also at 4* facing down and sits higher then the transmission yoke. Driveshaft is installed and angles up from the tranny to the rearend at 3*. From what I've been reading, this isn't good is it:_paranoid ?

from what you have posted, youre front WA is 7* and your rear WA is 1*. obviously not what you want. you either need to shim the tranny up or lower the pinion more towards the ground. with those numbers i would start with both. you will be amazed at what even 1/4" under the tranny can do.

Thanks, I'll start working in that direction. I just thought if the rear pinion was higher than the transmission yoke that was bad ju ju. This I think I can fix by raising the trans as you've stated.
Thanks again

doesnt matter how there orientated, you just need minimum working angle for the u joints to work.
that comes down to what type of rear susp you have as they all vary in how much pinion angle change is seen under throttle

Raise the trans as high as possible and go from there.....

Sometimes it is not possible to raise the back of the transmission high enough to fix the working angles. I had this problem with my GTO and I decided to go a different route:

But, you don't even know it's fixed your problem.

That's because I was confident that it would work.
